Prologis is seeking a Director of Sales Strategy for its Essentials business who will add value in continuing to grow and support the Prologis Essentials platform. As a the Director of Sales Strategy, you will play a key role in shaping the business strategy, value propositions, and financial performance within the Essentials platform. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, self-starter, comfortable with change, a critical thinker, focused, and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

What is Prologis Essentials:

Prologis Essentials is an internal startup at Prologis, focused on understanding our customers’ needs and developing and delivering programs and value-add products and services to help operationalize their warehouses and supply chains. As a B2B business unit, Prologis Essentials is re-defining industrial real estate by designing the first warehousing-as-a-service customer experience. We are adding tremendous value for our customers beyond our real estate portfolio and positioning Prologis as a needed expert in providing turnkey industrial warehouse infrastructure solutions. The Prologis Essentials Team is growing rapidly and already making a global impact on the industrial real estate industry.

What’s needed in order to be successful in this role:

  • Own go-to-market strategy and execution for the Essentials segment focused on industrial users that are not currently tenants of Prologis LP.
  • Set and achieve annual and quarterly revenue and performance KPI’s.
  • Lead critical projects and objectives for Essentials by defining problems and implementing solutions
  • Work on complex/sensitive problems and provide effective, generally creative solutions. 
  • Lead issues resolution across different audiences, both external and internal and reconciles multiple stakeholder views. Take pride in problem solving!
  • Develop and implement new processes to make the team more effective. 
  • Support key customer accounts and effectively engage with customers to fully understand their business strategy, needs and areas for improvement.
  • Support and implement standard methodologies to improve pipeline creation, conversion rates, forecasting accuracy, and cross-functional training.
  • Work collaboratively and nature relationships across teams – including procurement, real estate, finance, product and marketing.

Tell us if you are ready:

  • Strong intuition for business with an ambitious and entrepreneurial demeanor. Strength in problem solving, issue-resolution, and working towards results.
  • 7-12 years’ experience in product management, business operations, sales management and a validated history of delivering growth and results.
  • Strong financial acuity with shown success and consistency in achieving targeted goals.
  • Effective leadership and team building skills.
  • Ability to work with little direct supervision.
  • Very comfortable speaking and making pitches to high-profile business leaders, both internal and external.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • Collaborative and consultative approach with outstanding communication skills. (verbal and written).
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills and strong desire to deliver results.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.
  • Experience in any warehouse solutions business an advantage, but not a requirement.
  • MBA an advantage, but not a requirement.
  • Start-up experience an advantage, but not a requirement

Hiring Salary Range of: $120,000 - $155,000. Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target and RSU's) to be determined by the candidate’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
