DAT Freight & Analytics is looking for a Director, New Business Development to join our outstanding Shipper Sales team, headquartered in Denver, Colorado.
You'll lead a team of Enterprise Sales and Business Development Representatives, driving new business and growth within our Shipper Sales organization.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and scale a highly effective and savvy sales.
  • Map strategy to build a robust sales pipeline, driving exceptional new business revenue and strong market.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, Product, and Engineering to act as a "voice of the customer."
  • Lead win/win contract negotiations to achieve the most profitable outcomes for all parties.
  • Drive revenue through building and coaching a world class sales organization.
  • "Own" the numbers and be an expert in the latest market trends and new developments.
  • Develop long-term strategic relationships with key customers and partners.
  • Relentlessly drive improvements in the lifecycle of the sales process.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle, from lead to close, and growing relationships.
  • Leverage technology for maximum productivity and performance.
  • Take a leadership role at industry events, trade shows and sales meetings.


The Skills and Experience You'll Bring

  • 5+ years in a directly related sales management position, in a technical, logistics business.
  • Experience selling technical software products, ideally SaaS, to Shipper customers.
  • Logistics and Transportation experience highly preferred.
  • Exceptional sales leadership success, working both in-person and remotely.
  • Superior customer service skills, mastery of learning customer needs, promoting products, and delivering solutions.
  • Enthusiastic, positive and highly energetic.
  • Technically savvy, with excellent skills using Salesforce, Google Workspace, Zoom and more.
  • Bachelor's degree required, Masters degree preferred.


(Colorado only) In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the minimum salary for this role is $135k base salary, plus commissions, plus benefits. The maximum compensation for this role can vary significantly depending on your job-related skills and experience.
