The Director of Microsoft Programs plays a significant role in growing Microsoft revenue by managing the Microsoft Programs team, Microsoft relationship, Microsoft product pipeline, Microsoft SureStep reporting, and by promoting sales enablement across the floor by effectively aligning sales plays and product marketing efforts. They develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets in collaboration other functions within the business. The Director coordinates the project management of Microsoft Programs repeatable/scalable solutions, sales plays, sales readiness, and team innovations by acting as Microsoft liaison to support proposed sales goals including the proper use of invested Microsoft MDF in collaboration with the Director of Microsoft GTM. They drive key executive briefings, innovate, and drive new Microsoft Partner Network offerings and manage the overall success of the Microsoft Programs Team. The Director serves as both an external and internal “customer”.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Utilize Microsoft templates and guidance to build scalable cloud business plans and coordinate the project management of Microsoft Programs repeatable/scalable solutions, sales plays, sales readiness, and team innovations
  • Build sales strategy to mobilize partners to consume Microsoft cloud product offerings, resources and participate in Microsoft programs related to revenue generation and sales readiness including assisting Pax8 strategic partners with building compelling offers that address top customer scenarios in a repeatable method in the Microsoft Marketplace
  • Drive the Microsoft Programs Team’s educational and certification initiatives alongside with Pax8 Academy through Career Coaching and Development with direct reports
  • Identify areas of improvement related to process, reporting, and change management across multiple areas including sales, marketing, support, product, billing and maintain a tight alignment with Microsoft GTM, ProServices, Sales and Marketing leaders
  • Ensure team communicates Microsoft programs to partners by partnering with Product, Marketing, Channel events and Corporate Communication teams
  • Provide reporting on partner activities and progress to Microsoft and participate in all Microsoft MBR’s and QBR’s by explaining Microsoft + Pax8 profitability and opportunity relevant to Pax8
  • Ensure partners are equipped with the right tools and resources to compete effectively against every competitive scenario they encounter throughout Pax8 Microsoft Programs and Sales
  • Deliver weekly/monthly program updates for Microsoft Programs to the Sr. Director of Microsoft and SVP of Business Development
  • Ongoing development of and reporting on OKR’s
  • Participation in all Microsoft MBR’s, QBR’s, and SureStep calls


Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

  • At least (8) yearss experience working in Sales and/or Business Development
  • Both Technical and Business background
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Proven success in selling through the indirect channel or Microsoft direct; passion for empowering partners to serve their customers
  • Knowledge of, or demonstrated ability to learn and create sales strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate effective business reviews
  • Ability to engage cross-functionally to request resources and coordinate events
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills: writing, editing and presenting in front of groups
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Experience managing others, track record of influencing peers, and can maintain poise under pressure
  • Background in Microsoft cloud solutions and hardware
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver training, executive presentations and innovations in 1:1 and 1:many settings
  • Ability to design and deliver presentations in live and virtual environments; hybrid experience
  • Proven success in creating scalable business plans to drive the business, analyze results and make appropriate modifications to continually improve execution
  • Ability to engage cross-functionally to request resources, collaborated and coordinate multiple projects
  • Strong Communication and presentation skills
  • Expert knowledgeable of Microsoft products
  • Highly Organized and Project Management skills
  • Prior Management and Leadership Experience
  • Conducts themselves in a professional manner at all times


Required Education & Certifications:

B.A./B.S. in related field or equivalent work experience


Compensation:

  • Qualified candidates can expect a salary beginning at $140,000 or more depending on experience

*Note: Compensation is benchmarked on local Denver Metro area market rates. Qualified candidates in other locations can expect a salary package that may be adjusted based off applicable cost of wages in their respective location.
