Director, Inside Sales

Our Sales team is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with small business owners across North America. Our team takes great pride in educating our merchants on the best lending options for their business needs. You will have the opportunity to create an amazing sales career without ever having to make “cold calls” and you will become an expert in Small Business Lending.
OnDeck is seeking a talented and passionate Director of Inside Sales for our growing Denver sales office. The role is a key member of both the Sales leadership and Denver leadership teams, and will be responsible for overseeing 35 sales agents including managers. We’re seeking a seasoned sales leader with experience in new and renewal business sales. This is a great role for someone who has a customer-advocacy mindset, an exceptional ability to lead and inspire high performing sales teams and a strong commitment to employee/team success.
As a Director of Inside Sales at OnDeck on the you will:
- Oversee new business and current customer sales in our Denver office
- Be responsible for leading the team and developing leaders on the team
- Work closely with sales leadership and people operations on sales training initiatives
- Coordinate sales forecasting, performance management and budgeting for your team. Actively monitor production and maintain high levels of quality, accuracy and process consistency.
- Identify opportunities to improve our sales funnel and work cross functionally to make improvements
Necessary qualifications for success:
- Proven experience in consultative selling and driving success through sales managers and teams.
- Demonstrated financial acumen and ability to lead a team selling a finance oriented and/or more complex product.
- Demonstrated analytical ability to manage forecasting, quotas, and activity and behavioral metrics.
- Superior motivation skills (verbal and written) and people management skills.
- Ability to establish and build peer support and cross functional relationships with teams like operations and customer service
- Ability to track critical sales metrics using established technical tools (CRM, Excel, Sales Automation etc)
Nice-to-haves (not required):
- Experience with small businesses and/or small business financial products.
