Director of Global Sales Development
About the role
The Director of Sales Development will develop and scale our team of high-performing Sales Development Reps who play a pivotal role in cultivating and qualifying prospects for our sales organization. The Director will also act as the primary steward and sales operational leader for managing the base of target accounts within sales; orchestrating coordinated plays with marketing and across the sales organization to consistently identify opportunities and grow pipeline. We are looking for a dynamic, results-driven, operationally-minded leader that is an exceptional coach and motivator of people, driving execution and sales development excellence. The right candidate will tenaciously increase pipeline volume, sales velocity, and revenue via Closed Won Business.
Here's what you'll be doing:
- Recruit, manage, train, and retain a high performing team of sales development representatives
- Set and meet key performance indicators and objectives and key results with the sales leadership team
- Develop and maintain SDR best practices, pitches, and objection handling
- Achieve and consistently exceed monthly and quarterly SDR team goals
- Provide leadership, development, and training for our SDR team to hit and exceed monthly goals and achieve other defined objectives
- Work as a strategic partner to the marketing and sales organization to optimize the sales funnel and help to develop demand generation campaigns/content
- Evaluate current sales tech stack to manage the sales process and set standards for performance
- Accurately forecast the sales development pipeline and proactively flag risk
We're excited about you because you have:
- 4+ years of sales management experience
- 4+ years of sales experience, ideally having served as SDR Team Lead
- 6+ years of experience working in a fast-paced technology/SaaS company
- Capacity to hire, inspire, lead, and motivate team members and establish a healthy and collaborative work environment
- Track record of meeting and exceeding individual and team goals
- Proven planning, organization, and project management skills
- Excellent reporting and analytics skills using Salesforce, Excel, and equivalent tools
- Strong organization/prioritization skills and ability to consistently meet deadlines
