What does a Director of Customer Success do at DarkOwl?

The world needs more DarkOwls, and fewer bad guys. We are experiencing a time of great growth and are searching to expand the sales team with energetic self-starter to create long-term and trusting relationships with our customers. The right person for this position is pro-active: rolling-up their sleeves, taking ownership, and learn quickly.

This is a full-time position based in our downtown Denver office.

What a day in the life of a Director of Customer Success looks like?

  • Own, drive, and lead the welcoming of new customers to DarkOwl.
  • Own, Drive and lead the renewal process in collaboration with the sales team to preserve and improve customer contracts and relationships, while thinking holistically about trends, opportunities and potential threats.
  • Hire customer success engineers to build a kick-ass team to help customers integrate into our suite of products. Be the glue that keeps customers and us sticky to each other.
  •  Actively engage with key decision makers to identify customer requirements and uncover roadblocks to ensure on-time commitments.
  • Build & create the right process and tools to identify, grow and develop existing customers.
  • Be Independent (don’t need too much hand holding), Quick learner (we really don’t have that much time to teach, and we aren’t a big company with a training department), Creative (we are trying to accomplish the impossible, so creativity is kind of a prerequisite), Flexible (you betcha. Priorities change, and we need to pivot on a dime)
  • Actively participate in sharing best practices and maintaining a positive team player attitude to strengthen our architecture and system designs.
  • Work cross-functionally: you need to work with folks across sales, marketing and product teams to understand how to solve business challenges, identifying opportunities for growth and collaborating to drive efficiency and effective across the organization.

What you bring to the table:

  • Experience in Cybersecurity industry required.
  • You need to have at least 5+ years under your belt of SaaS renewals/ account management experience.
  • You have extensive understanding of developing, nurturing and managing client relationships.
  •  Proven track record of driving revenue growth with existing customers.
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills and ability maintaining renewal rate as defined by the strategic goals.
  • You can operate relatively independently, but also be a team player. We strive to be a no-drama company.
  • Willingness to travel extensively at times.
