Job Summary

  • The Global Channel Strategy & Programs team plays a critical role in ensuring the success against NetApp’s 3 Key Imperatives with our 3 Business Units, by expanding current and acquiring new Channel partners to drive and sell NetApp’s portfolio to their customers in support of their data storage and transformation challenges.
  • This individual will be the owner of NetApp’s Global Channel GTM strategy for both the Storage, Systems and Software and Cloud Infrastructure business units and associated partner readiness and growth.
  • Ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of Partner opportunities and how to optimize NetApp solutions to drive incremental revenue with accountability for WW Channel metrics aligned to each solution and business unit AOP.
  • This role requires a senior level Channel Sales and Business Development leader who can create global strategies, partner directly with Geo leads and build effective GTM structures to drive successful execution, while acting as liaison with NetApp stakeholders and Partner executives.
  • This business development role, will be part of the Global Channel Strategy and Program Enablement team to ensure direct strategic alignment and global reach as part of the matrixed Global Channel Leadership Team and newly formed business units, which supports Channel strategy efforts across the globe.  

 

 

 

Job Requirements

 

  • 15+ years’ relevant experience with Channel, Alliance and other hardware, software or server vendors
  • Deep sales and business development experience in enterprise storage, server or public cloud required
  • Clear knowledge and understanding of customer challenges in solving Digital transformation needs.
  • Proven ability to lead, navigate and manage complex internal Vendor and Partner relationships 
  • Scope of Role
    • This is a Global role, with focus on NetApp HQ, EMEA, APAC and strategic local growth countries
    • Role and position, will identified internally and externally as NetApp Storage, Systems and Software &  Cloud Infrastructure Channel SME
    • Geo-based leaders will be key stakeholders for the strategic direction and localization of programs and delivery
    • Accountability for delivering against Partner investment strategies, growth of Core and Converged solution revenue through partners 
  • Key Interactions for Success (internal and external)
    • Proven success to drive and communicate strategy, and to navigate and influence across all aspects of the business: Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal
    • Strong technical and go-to-market skills to balancing between Engineering, Field and Customer vs NetApp needs.
    • Experience working with international peers
    • Strong negotiation skills

Education

 

BS/BA degree or equivalent related experience. 12+ years -- plus add additional experience requirements needed if you were to fill an open requisition, i.e., knowledge, skills, and abilities.
