The Impact You’ll Have at Return Path

Partners play a significant role in Return Path’s ecosystem and go-to-market strategy. The majority of our clients utilize an email service provider, design agency, consultant or some other email technology vendor to aid in the deployment of email. Return Path’s partners also utilize Return Path’s products and service to manage their clients’ email programs. The Channel Development Specialist will assume responsibility for bringing on new partners and managing/developing an existing book of Return Path partners.
Role Objectives

  • Identify (and close) new partnerships for Return Path
  • Develop and expand relationships with a set of existing Return Path partners
  • Generate new business for the US sales team through partnerships
  • On-board, train, and motivate new and assigned partners
  • Responsible for the partner relationship, including putting together partner development plans, consistently increasing sales, and working on joint marketing efforts to grow the partnership
  • Ensure partners are utilizing all partner solutions Return Path provides
  • Ability to negotiate contracts, and renew existing book of assigned partners
  • Track program progress and results

What does it take to be successful in this role?

  • 3+ years of sales or partner experience
  • Must have an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team
  • Excellent communication and networking skills
  • Sales driven
  • Strong sales, marketing, business acumen, and analytical skills
  • You have experience using Salesforce.com
  • Comfortable presenting in front of a large group
  • Familiarity with email marketing
  • Ability to travel 50-60% of the time
