Job Description

We are seeking a Business Development Representative to provide support to our Sales and Marketing teams and help us grow our customer base. Your role will be to uncover new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers, uncovering their pain points and educating them on the value of our products and services.

As a business development representative in our Denver office, your skillset will be heavily utilized to expand our business operations, recognize and develop potential customers, and increase sales. Whether you are presenting a persuasive presentation, undertaking lead generation efforts, researching prospects or current trends to better understand the market, this position will provide you with the chance to develop and strengthen your customer service, sales, and communication skills.

To be successful in this role, you will need at least 2-3 years’ business development experience developing leads from all sources, including inbound and outbound marketing & sales efforts. Responsibilities

  • Qualify organic and marketing campaign leads as opportunities or nurture marketing qualified leads
  • Contact prospects through cold calls, emails, business-to-business selling and other methods to identify business development opportunities and strategize approaches to successfully attain greater reach
  • Identify prospect needs and suggest appropriate products/services
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with prospects and customers for upsell campaigns
  • Proactively and independently seek new business opportunities within our market and target audience
  • Set up meetings, calls and demo appointments for prospects and Account Executives
  • Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans
  • Report performance results to the VP of North American Sales on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or relevant field
  • Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, Jr. Sales Representative or similar role, preferably in an enterprise-level SaaS software environment.
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales quotas
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce) and marketing automation tools (e.g. HubSpot)
  • Strong familiarity with MS Office, such as Excel (creating spreadsheets and charts, and analyzing data), and PowerPoint, with the ability to develop and deliver engaging presentations
  • Solid understanding of enterprise-level B2B sales techniques and performance metrics
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and time management skills
  • High attention to detail in all tasks completed
