We're searching for someone who's a go-getter who wants to kick-start their career in sales. As our new Business Development Representatives (BDR) you'll be the first point of contact for our sales team, and strive to give great first impressions. When a lead of a potential sale comes your way, you'll turn on the stove top and heat up the potential of selling our products. Not only that, but you'll feel out the land to see how who else in the world is right for custom printed apparel.

You'll be primarily responsible for driving sales by generating, qualifying, and developing sales pipeline. The BDR is a vital link between Marketing and Sales, and the BDR must be able to plan and execute daily and weekly, required activities to generate sales opportunities for Shinesty Customs. This role knows the ins and outs of our products, and can partner with Marketing to execute campaigns, programs, and closed-loop business & sales development activities. The BDR also works closely with Operations & Sales Management.

What You'll Do:

  • Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts.
  • Plan and organize daily work schedule, travel schedule and play schedule.
  • Adjusts content of sales presentations by researching the trade outlet and knowing sales channels.
  • Research new markets and contacts to keep a constant pipeline of prospective customers.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
  • Contributes to team through effort, communication and attitude.

What You Have: 

  • 3-5 years selling experience. Bonus for experience in licensed apparel or custom corporate.
  • Successful previous experience as a sales representative consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of an organization
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise
