Business Development Representative

Position Description

As a Business Development Representative, your main focus will be prospecting and cultivating leads, with the goal being to schedule a demo for your senior counterparts. You will put together target account lists and be responsible for landing and expanding within those companies.

You’ll have to be flexible, reliable, results-oriented, highly competitive, and a team player. You will have the opportunity to work with Fortune 1000 accounts and some of the largest, most well known brands. The ideal candidate will have a track record of exceeding expectations and will be a good listener who is highly process driven.

You will manage multiple list of net new leads and engaged leads and contacts and be responsible for qualifying leads and working them through the sales process up until an initial meeting. You’ll have to be flexible, reliable, results-oriented, highly competitive, and a team player. You will have the opportunity to work with Fortune 1000 accounts and some of the largest, most well known brands. The ideal candidate will have a track record of exceeding expectations and will be a good listener who is highly process driven.


Job Responsibilities

  • Manage new inbound and engagement marketing leads through researching the leads, qualification and initial meeting set up or handoff.
  • Execute on outreach which consists of calls, emails, and other forms of messaging in line with GutCheck sales playbook.
  • Accurately explain GutCheck value to clients
  • Meet and exceed aggressive sales quotas and objectives
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop outreach campaigns
  • Assist marketing team and sales teams when it comes to our events to help drive meetings and attendees

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or planned graduation in the next 3 months
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, non-corporate setting
  • Self-motivated and willing to take responsibility for growth and development
  • A hunter sales mentality with a strong desire to develop skills and advance their sales career within the organization
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage a large number of leads, contacts, accounts, and opportunities in a CRM system quickly and accurately
  • Detail oriented and organized

Desired Qualifications

  • 1 - 2 years of B2B sales experience
  • Understanding of marketing practices and basic market research techniques
  • Proficiency in a Customer Relationship Management system

We have a "no door" policy. There are no offices, so I and others can be accessible. On a proactive basis, I spend a lot of non-meeting time in the break room, so I can have a better sense of how things are going, and I can have spontaneous conversations with my colleagues.
