Markit Digital, an IHS Markit company, is hiring a sales operations specialist for our business development team. This is a unique and exciting position located in our Boulder, CO office. You will have the opportunity to work in a professional environment with high profile companies in the finance industry.  We are a small, tight-knit, high-energy group responsible for acquisition of new business and accounts, existing client support, and strategic opportunity development. 

 

As a member of our Business Development team you will play a critical role in enhancing and assisting with sales enablement. This is an internal role where you will work cross-functionally with finance, sales, executives, and project management, as well as other contacts within Markit Digital regarding sales needs. The perfect candidate will thrive in a team environment, is self-motivated, and is extremely detail-oriented with demonstrated multi-tasking skills and ability to deliver accurately on tight timelines. This position will have a direct impact on the revenue side of our business and will work closely with a cross-functional Sales and Marketing team.

Essential Job Duties

  • SalesForce administration for business activities, including:
    • Maintaining and quality-controlling our sales database
    • Maintaining a monthly pipeline report, including movements
  • Regular tracking and distribution of key pipeline movement to management team
  • Supporting other sales operations activities as needed
  • Sales Operations - Maintain and update Salesforce for the business development team
    • Coordinate pipeline with the team, review pipeline data quality, work with team to ensure sales pipeline and forecast is up to date, etc
  • Facilitate the contract signature process between business development, legal and executive team
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual strategic planning by maintaining sales pipeline and tracking revenue
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for sales process improvement
  • Compile and edit Word and PowerPoint presentations for executive team
  • Act as liaison between business development, the executive team, project management and finance
  • General administration
    • Facilitate travel planning for business development team; complete travel requests, coordinate agendas and itineraries, prepare materials and expense reports
    • Facilitate on-site client meetings for business development team;  help clients to arrange travel, coordinate agendas and itineraries, prepare materials and coordinate day-of schedule changes
    • Manage business development point of contact (POC) schedule

 

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and two+ years equivalent experience, preferably in a similar role
  • Expertise in the following tools: Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficient use of principles and practices required to support the management team
  • Knowledge of business office operations, sales pipeline creation, and administrative clerical operations 
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information with utmost discretion
  • Strong time management, organizational and decision making skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Equipment Directly Used
    • PC, SalesForce, and MS office products

 

Salary plus benefits DOE
