About the Job:

In this new position you will work hand-in-hand with the Co-Founder/CEO and marketing team to ensure new and existing school customers and vendor partners have a high degree of satisfaction and success with BuyQ. You will be responsible for driving revenue and customer engagement from both new and existing customers while also positioning BuyQ as a thought-leader with best-in-class solutions. You will also work with the CEO on special strategic projects as they arise. The role mixes analytics, business development and customer success activities. As the first person in this role you will have a high degree of input into the systems and processes (activities) that will be used to achieve results.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build or improve and manage BD and CS systems and processes to drive success across all lines of business
  • Use partner sales data and market research to help identify opportunities for revenue growth and customer retention
  • Manage prospective customer identification and development across a variety of channels including phone, email and in-person
  • Lead the orientation/onboarding process and establish long-term relationships with new customers
  • Communicate regularly with existing customers and partners to ensure satisfaction and retention
  • Work with marketing team to develop and deliver BuyQ value proposition to all stakeholders
  • Support the CEO on special strategic projects that test innovative ideas for growth
  • Become our customer and partner relationship management system (Salesforce) wizard
  • Develop and manage partner sales and other key metric reporting to support strategic decision making and record keeping
  • Travel periodically to represent BuyQ at various meetings and conferences
  • Build and manage customer and partner feedback systems to ensure we are delivering on all needs
  • Be a trustworthy point of contact for our customers and partners and the ultimate advocate for their best interests.

You’ll Need:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ work experience; 2+ years’ of business development and/or customer success experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working in the charter school sector a huge plus
  • Superlative written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong business acumen and judgment
  • Highly analytical, and comfortable with reporting and modeling
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational, prioritization and time management skills
  • Self-motivated, highly flexible and proactive with a team mentality
  • A strong work ethic – willing to go the extra mile to serve our customers
  • Experience in and comfort with public speaking
  • Ability to travel (job requires up to 10% travel)
  • Proficient across all MS Office 365 products
  • Highly skilled at MS Excel for analysis and reporting
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM system
  • College grad with a BA/BS
  • MBA strongly preferred
