Who We Are

 

Nylas was founded in 2013 by a couple of MIT graduates who were passionate about making complex systems simpler. Co-founder and CTO Christine Spang saw that email use was growing at a steady rate, yet there wasn’t a simple way to unify this data-rich tool in a way that developers could easily integrate with this data. She and a small team (at the time) set out to fix this. Fast-forward to 2020, Nylas has successfully raised funding from Spark Capital, 8VC, ScaleUP, Round13, Citi Ventures, Slack Fund, Data Collective, Fuel Capital, and SV Angel. Nylas customers span from large enterprises such as Hyundai, Fox News Corp, Hubspot and Move.com to high-growth start-ups like Dialpad, Pipedrive, Lexicata, and Sparkpost.

What You’ll Do

  • Work with a Customer Success Manager (CSM) to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term account strategies are in place
  • Build, position and close existing customer contracts
  • Use data driven approaches to focus on customers who could realize value from adopting new features or partnership programs 
  • Navigate within a customer’s organization structure to find the decision maker, product owner and ensure they are included in the account planning and buying process
  • Collaborate closely with the Customer Success team to ensure a smooth transition to new or updated contracts
  • Engage in regular customer outreach including quarterly review/meetings, ongoing checkpoints and escalations as needed
  • Enable successful and consistent renewals, as well as identify and execute on new growth and upsell opportunities with customers
  • Generate opportunities resulting in revenue from transactional partners

What You'll Bring

  • 3+ years of B2B/SaaS experience in Account Management or Account Executive roles
  • 2 years of experience selling software
  • Experience managing accounts and selling into technical roles: CPOs, VP of Engineering and the like
  • Demonstrated successful metrics against revenue retention and growth with actual closing experience
  • Desire to work within a quickly growing small team environment
  • Proven track record of hitting and exceeding revenue goals
  • Experience tracking, managing, negotiating and closing renewals and addon sales
  • Demonstrated ability to position new features/partnership programs to an existing customer base 
  • Experience at a Saas Startup

Pay Range: $65,000- $95,000
