Account Manager
Thanks to continued growth and success, Wowza has a new opening for an Account Manager to join the team in a lead role, responsible for a portfolio of key accounts. The account management team are commercially driven with primary responsibility for maximizing customer revenues through up-sell and cross-sell.
Key tasks will include:
- Nurture, expand key relationships and be accountable for your portfolio and associated revenue numbers
- Proactively grow your portfolio through identifying and pursuing cross-sell & up-sell opportunities
- Act as a strategic partner to understand the objectives and needs of customers and then develop solutions through the company's offerings
- Develop an expert knowledge of the SaaS platform
- Understand and communicate market opportunities, needs and customer feedback to cross-functional teams
- Maintain detailed records in CRM and your sales pipeline and report upwards as appropriate
- Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
- Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas
- Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
- Prepare reports on account status
- Collaborate with sales team to identify and grow opportunities within territory
- Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
Your Profile:
The successful Account Manager will naturally have a proven aptitude for relationship management within strategic accounts and will bring the following skills/experience:
- Minimum one year of previous experience in a SaaS technology business in a similar commercial role such as an Inside AE, Account Manager, Account Director, Business Development Manager
- Experience and successful track record in selling/upselling/cross-selling software technology
- Proven ability to hit/exceed quota for a SaaS technology business or technology organization managing a customer base of 75-100 accounts
- A passion for problem solving and constantly improving sales knowledge
- Organized and accountable to follow the Wowza sales process with the ability to work independently at times as well as within a collaborative team environment
- Good technical understanding and excellent presentation skills
- Strong communication skills to educate and articulate to customers how Wowza can provide solutions to meet their needs
- Proficient at using internal resources and working in a team environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills including being a great listener, ability to grow rapport quickly, and lead/influence customers to make important decisions.
- An analytical and logical ability to understand the internal workflow of the customer, identify "white space" gaps, and help them optimize our software.
- Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including managers, directors, executive and C-level
- Solid experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, Salesloft and MS Office )
- Experience with sales methodologies that include buyer journey, buyer mapping, account-based selling, building an account plan, to deliver client-focused solutions based on customer needs
- BA/BS degree in Business Administration/ Communications
Compensation and Benefits
Salary: $50,000 - $80,000
Commission Eligible - OTE Range: $100,000-$160,000

The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of our salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate's qualifications, skills, and competencies. The salary is one component of our total compensation package for employees.
