GutCheck is an agile, tech enabled market research firm that provides deep audience intelligence. Our clients require deep insights on their target audiences, to help them better product ideate, product develop and brand. We help make heroes of our clients and aid them in making dozens of product development and marketing decisions!

What is an Account Executive at GutCheck?

This is a pure "Hunter/New Business" role. You will be given a territory, and it is up to you to break into companies and be able to get in front of the right decision makers while we continue our acceleration into currently established markets & verticals. You will have some solid years of selling new business under your belt and could come in and hit the ground running.

What should you know before applying to this role?

We are consultants to our clients and you must love the thrill of the sale and breaking into companies! If you prefer to have a book of business handed to you, and aren't ok with rejection, trust us, this role will not be for you.

What type of clients do we work with and what type of work do we do?

Many of our clients are in the CPG industry but we also work in tech, food service, retail, healthcare, and B2B. We are a tech enabled services company, holding our client's hands every step of the way.

Here is a glimpse of what this role entails, is this right for you?

  • Up to 50% travel by plane to be onsite with clients (you will not be gone Monday-Thursday of the week like true consulting roles, we want to make sure you have a great work life balance)
  • This is not a solo sales role, in order to get the job done you will be working cross-functionally with Client Services, Research, Product and the Account Expansion teams to successfully on-board new customers and put them on a path for a long-term relationship
  • You need to be able to use clear, collaborative communication to establish goals, set expectations & deliver results
  • You will need to execute and iterate against the strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand the company’s customer base
  • You will need to use data and metric analysis to evaluate business, drive strategy and measure results

  • Results Oriented - Experience exceeding new business sales goals
  • Lead From the Front - Experience partnering with management and cross-functional teams to help with deal management and to ensure quota attainment
  • Strong Business Acumen - Knowledge of sales performance analytics and interpreting results
  • Excellent communicator - Strong professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer Focused - Build and maintain strong, employee and prospect relationships
  • Knowledge of contracting and negotiating six figure plus agreements and CRM systems
