Job Description:
In the role of Rapid Prototyping Technical Support Specialist, you will collaborate with internal sales partners, contract manufacturers, and Arrow clients. It will require focus on providing an elegant client experience in delivering best-in-class rapid prototyping and on-demand manufacturing solutions for electronic & electromechanical assemblies. This exciting role, as part of Arrow Global Manufacturing Services, directly supports Arrow’s unique full-service product life cycle strategy as well as our partnership with international crowdfunding leader Indiegogo.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer experience for outsourced manufacturing of PCB, PCB Assembly, sub and top-level assembly.
- Clearly understand client needs and provide manufacturing solution suggestions.
- Revenue growth via blend of support for current clients and onboarding of new accounts
- Support new projects by communicating and tracking milestones to our clients and by identifying and initiating appropriate actions to remove potential barriers to success.
- Manage Engineering Change Orders and Document Control as needed; taking effective action to prevent errors and minimize production interruptions; will participate in process establishment and improvement.
- Coordinate quote/proposal activities (internal & external) with client, manufacturing partners, sales teams – quote timeliness and accuracy is paramount.
- Work to established metrics (revenue, cost, design win activity, etc.) and make improvement suggestions to processes and measurements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience in a customer facing technical role with a passion for providing best-in-class customer experience
- Ability to read/interpret technical files, drawings, Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Familiarity with ERP and CRM
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Operations or Program Management, other relevant fields, OR 5 years practical experience
- 2 years of industry experience in one or more of the following fields: New Product Introduction (NPI), technology supply chain, manufacturing processes
- Ability to travel 5% of time
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with PCB, PCB assembly, sub and/or top-level assembly; gerber files, CAD, schematics, DFM/A
- Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) experience
- Comfortable in fast paced and dynamic work environment
