US Contractor - Project Coordinator (Part Time)
Description
The Project Coordinator (Contract) is responsible for a variety of project, program and portfolio assignments within the Solution Delivery Project Office. The Project Coordinator works closely with Project Managers and Project Office staff to successfully delivery a portfolio of projects whose scope is centered on the automation of supply chain processes for the healthcare industry. The Project Coordinator is responsible for organizing and facilitating project related activities under the close direction of the Solution Delivery Project Office.
The position requires some experience in project scheduling, familiarity with project management practices, and the ability to effectively communicate cross functionally within the GHX organization. Some direct communication with clients may be required for specific activities.
This is a part-time contract position, Monday and Friday, up to 8 hours per day.
Principle duties and responsibilities:
- Creates project initiation documentation in Salesforce.com to ensure a seamless transition of work to the assigned Project Manager. This includes creating project schedules from templates, setting project timelines, and making resource allocations.
- Working with Project Managers, helps ensure project schedules and project status are kept current. Uses project scheduling and control tools to monitor progress to plan, adjusts task estimates, verifies scheduling logic, and drives booking of actuals.
- May generate reports utilizing Excel and pivot tables to assist in identifying issues requiring attention.
- Escalates coordination issues that cannot be resolved to the Project Office or any issue that may impact client satisfaction.
- Assist in the development of presentations as required by the Project Manager or Project Office.
- May support the project closure or disengagement process.
Required Skills:
- 2 or more years of college level experience, associate degree or equivalent experience.
- Ability to multi-task and self-motivated to learn new technology.
- Some experience with MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Solid analytical and qualitative reasoning skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Salesforce.com and TaskRay
- Healthcare technology implementation experience a plus.
