About the Role
We are looking for several Transportation Safety and Compliance Coordinators to help us bring AI to supply chains in the world’s largest companies. We are a culture-first organization, and work relentlessly to maintain the culture that we’ve built.
To support our mission, the successful candidate will support execution of the Safety and Compliance Plan for the organization. This role requires experience in DOT regulated programs and training and familiarity with the FMCSA Regulations. Our ideal candidate will be an expert in compliance matters such as HOS, DVIR, Roadside Inspections, Accident Investigations and Reviews, DQ file administration, ELDs, and other safety and compliance matters.
Responsibilities
- Executes the Safety Plan consistent with company goals and objectives.
- Works within multiple platforms to administer HOS, qualifying drivers, respond to critical events, citations, inspections, etc.
- Assists in managing the assessment, development, and implementation of comprehensive trucking safety policies, programs, tools, and systems to enhance consistent application/compliance with company directions for safe driving practices and to reduce accidents.
- Communicates daily with professional drivers and management of all levels regarding events, trends, training needs, etc.
- Supports rollout and delivery of training programs located at multiple locations throughout the country.
- Ensures consistent application of safety and compliance programs.
- Promotes a culture that fosters excellence in customer service and commitment to safe driving.
- Ensures awareness of the Corporate Safety Plan goals.
- Enhances safety performance at all levels and ensures each professional driver is the best trained and qualified for the job.
- Establishes and maintains effective business relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelors preferred
- Broad understanding of Safety policies and practices
- Specific understanding of the FMCSA and DOT requirements
- Experience with the execution of programs that reduce/eliminate vehicle accidents
- Familiarity of adult education principles (e.g. learning needs assessment, program design, development strategies, etc.)
- Demonstrated expertise in developing, implementing, and evaluating Transportation Safety Training programs and policies
- Knowledge of information technology to lead the development and implementation of systems, technologies, and templates to support the collection and analysis of data to identify emerging trends that impact on trucking safety (e.g. accidents, professional driver complaints, safety related grievances, etc.)
- Experience in communicating in front of a group in a training environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) and transportation related software including dispatch software, ELDs, HOS, Applicant Tracking Systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and well developed written and verbal communication skills
- Bilingual in Spanish, preferred
- Ability to travel, up to 10%
