Technical Program Manager

Shopventory is looking for a Technical Program Manager to join our team. As Shopventory grows, our offerings are becoming more diverse in order to address the different needs of businesses and you will play a crucial role in helping businesses thrive. This role will have the opportunity to influence the trajectory of engineering at Shopventory and the products that will delight our customers. This role is based in the Denver Tech Center.
Key Responsibilities
Work with internal and external customers to determine business requirements and translate these requirements into technical/functional specifications. Discover the true requirements behind customer feature requests and balance business needs versus technical constraints.
Work with engineering teams to streamline and coordinate development efforts and drive projects to completion.
Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and make tradeoffs.
Identify dependencies between concurrent projects and future roadmap to prevent future roadblocks.
Develops estimates for effort, budget and schedule.
Own communication for project status and delivery across managed projects with senior leadership and other stakeholders.
Communicates a clear vision of the project’s objectives and motivates the project team to achieve them.
Establish business policies and metrics for identifying and measuring success.
Provides tracking and reporting of progress to plan regarding schedule.
Actively manages budget tracking and forecasting.
Proactively manages change to baselined scope, schedule and cost variables, communicating impacts and facilitating decisions.
Resolves issues that impact the project in a timely, effective manner.
Qualifications
Basic
Bachelor’s degree or higher with a technical discipline (computer science or engineering preferred)
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
3+ years experience in Program Management
Working experience running multiple technology projects
Working experience managing technology projects and working with technology project management methodologies. (e.g. waterfall, agile, iterative)
Working experience of and competency in project management processes, including planning tasks and allocating resources, risk management, issues management, time management, and financial management
Preferred
Experience with software and platform development
Ability to think strategically and challenge the status quo
History of teamwork and proven ability to drive results and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.
Superior verbal and written communications skills with high attention to detail including precise and effective communications.
