What's the biggest problem your team is solving?

The type of autonomy that will dominate industry in the decades to come will be of a new kind: adaptive. It will work around its changing environment with ease. It will work seamlessly with people and it will be reconfigurable in minutes. It will do this through the power to see. Visual perception is the harder road, but it will be future proof.

Nima Keivan

What makes someone successful on your team?

We look for bright people with low ego and a talent for communication and collaboration.
We have witnessed world-class PhDs deferring to engineers just out of school because they came up with a great idea. We have given people with less experience enormous responsibility when they showed drive, good sense and the ability to bring people together.

VP Marketing

What is your vision for the company?

We started CANVAS with the belief that autonomous technology would help transport resources more wisely, both human and material. We set out to create a system with excellent perception that could see well enough to find its way through the most complex indoor warehouses and factories, and also navigate outdoor roads and construction sites.

Jonathan McQueen

What’s the vibe like in the office?

Our culture is deeply rooted in learning and continuous improvement. It means that employees are voluntarily enrolling in classes, going to seminars, reading the latest papers on computer vision and machine learning, etc. In addition, we’ll sometimes hear how a developer has spent the weekend building something they were excited about.
