About the Team VIZIO is looking for a proactive and forward-thinking technical project/program manager who is an i nventive self-starter that embraces the idea of solving problems. As a technical program / project manager, you will manage development efforts in Vizio's Software and Services engineering organization by working with Product and Engineering teams to architect and develop product requirements documents. What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with Product teams and Engineering teams to create and manage technical project backlog.
  • You will be working on behalf of the Product teams to collaborate with Engineering teams making sure we deeply discuss, understand, and potentially adjust both the ask from a technical standpoint - engagement goals, technical requirements, constraints, scope, backlog and definition of done.
  • Act as a liaison between the Product teams and Engineering teams, help Product teams by answering questions around technical solutions, feasible requirements etc.,
  • Own the planning phase and create and manage roadmaps for the future by working with the Product management teams. Help Product teams build out a backlog by creating PRDs.
  • Translate technical or complicated information into clear, direct, and concise documents appropriate for audiences with varying technical expertise.
  • Submit drafts for technical review to Engineering teams and edit to accommodate requested changes to ensure the clarity, completeness, accuracy, and quality of documents created.
  • Partner with Engineering leadership and Product management teams to deliver strategic direction to ensure organizational focus and clarity.
  • Skilled in discussing technical details with engineers & product while also clearly communicating with leadership.
  • Manage and work collaboratively with cross-functional, geographically distributed peers, engineering teams, leaders, and stakeholders.
  • Bridge the gap between business requirements and engineering tasks; understand the interactions between engineering teams.
  • Provide clear and concise effective communication to leadership, stakeholders, and team members of program/project success, expectations, issues and risks, risk mitigation, and milestones and timelines
  • Develop and recommend best practices/tools for project execution and management.

About You

  • You have 5+ years relevant project/program manager experience in an enterprise organization.
  • You have a background in technical program/project management with experience working with diverse engineering teams.
  • You have knowledge and experience with structured software development.
  • You can interpret business requirements into technical stories for engineering teams.
  • You are able to execute in a fast-paced and highly fluid environment.
  • You possess leadership skills in a dynamic business environment.
  • You can effectively manage collaborative, cross-functional, co-located product and engineering teams to success.
  • You can effectively pivot directions based on changing priorities.
  • You can effectively communicate with business and technical professionals.
  • You are highly analytical and visual, with a mastery in Jira, Confluence, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Have a flair for software development projects, can quickly absorb new technologies and proven experience in creating clarity amid complexity; experience in understanding the technical architecture and design of a product/ feature(s)
  • Knowledge of user needs, gathering technical requirements, and defining scope of the project
  • You have excellent verbal and written English skills.
  • You possess excellent attention to detail.
  • Scrum Master or other project certifications highly desirable
