The Role: The Supply Chain Inventory Control Manager is responsible for identifying inventory discrepancies and coordinating corrective actions with Finance, Vendors, Warehouses, and Fulfillment centers. The Supply Chain Inventory Control Manager works cross-functionally with multiple internal and external departments to ensure on time delivery of supply to support sales. The Supply Chain Inventory Control Manager is responsible for creating and publishing inventory reports.

Responsibilities: The Supply Chain Inventory Control Manager is responsible for inventory accuracy in Popsockets systems, ensuring supply is on time and orders are allocated on time.

  • Identify inventory discrepancies and coordinate corrective action with warehouses/fulfillment centers.
  • Track PO receipts at global fulfillment centers and reconcile any discrepancies between fulfillment center and vendor.
  • Oversees setting priorities of upcoming shipments from factories.
  • Execute inventory transfers, adjustments and system postings.
  • Support Finance with Month End Inventory posting. 
  • Manage weekly and monthly supply chain inventory reporting and S&OP publications.
  • Manage global fulfillment center inventory by tracking purchase receipts, cycle counts, transfers, and other inventory reconciliation activities.
  • Manage the exceptions when the ERP system indicates a shortage of available inventories and scheduled receipts to meet the backlog. The inventory must be allocated to orders manually in these cases, balancing input from sales priorities and inventory/purchasing input on the ability to rectify the shortage. 
  • Monitor sales order backlog that is open, not released or reserved. Key account orders are automatically reserved and released in time to meet expected delivery dates. Orders are released to our 3PLs (3rd party logistics firms) that hold our inventory and pick pack and ship and sometimes assemble to order. 
  • Manage WIP reporting, daily maintenance of vendor shared documents relating to production order status and shipments.
  • Develop and maintain strong working partnerships with Demand and Supply Planners, OTF team, Global Vendors and PopSockets International teams.
  • Research, recommend application and workflow enhancements to reduce errors, improve customer experience and optimize business efficiency. 
  • Develop documentation on key allocation and reservation processes and train backup personnel to handle the role in the manager’s absence. 
  • Assist Supply Planning with Purchase Order creation at peak times.
  • Other duties as needed. 

Requirements:

  • BS/BA required.
  • 3-6 years experience in supply chain operations/inventory management role
  • Experience working within ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
  • Strong analytical skills with an aptitude for data-driven decision making.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Clear and Concise verbal and written communication
