Better requires process discipline and simplification
We’ll be looking to you to network across Western Union to build strong relationships with the stakeholders to develop sourcing and contracting strategies for your assigned purchase categories. You’ll work with business teams, Legal, Privacy, Information Security, A/P, Procurement, and other appropriate groups to determine areas of opportunity for aggregation of purchases, total cost reduction, process improvement, and contract risk mitigation. You will analyze business needs and drive category strategy execution. You will conduct supplier negotiations including drafting and executing contracts and pricing or guide other sourcing team members through these processes.
For such a detail-driven role, you’ll have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Startegic Sourcing and Procurement, experience in purchasing professional services is a plus. You will have a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Finance. You will have expertise in category management, strategic sourcing, and vendor contracting. You’ll have strong relationship building skills and ability to provide guidance to others on the team and those seeking out advise. You will have the ability to work independently to manage the purchase categories and strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with different leadership levels within Wester Union.

The annual gross base salary range is $81,204.01 – 143,043.53. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive an annual bonus that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies.
