Position Description
The Sr Manager of Project Management Office Strategic Projects, plays a lead role in onboarding large Customers and service contracts by ensuring Zayo’s implementation is well planned and effectively transitioned from the Sales and Deal Management teams to the Service Delivery organization and downstream operational teams responsible for engineering, design, activations, and operations.
With a strong program management background the successful candidate will play a key role in standing up large projects from “commit to cash”.
Working with stakeholder and project primes to ensure the effective and smooth onboarding of large-scale client initiatives, the day to day functions/responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
Partner with Sales, Product Management, Deal Management and other stakeholders to assess contract terms and service schedules/exhibits at the commit stage:
ensure clarity in scope, deliverables, and SLA requirements for delivery
provide input to exhibits where appropriate
assist with identifying risks and potential mitigations
Ensure operational teams are engaged early and prepared for implementation:
resource planning
architecture and design review
transition to project management & internal kick-off
Participate in onboarding Client/Customer meetings:
assist in defining client requirements for initial implementation
participate in the planning and pre-staging of project reporting and metrics
anticipate requirements for transition to lifecycle
a strong understanding of Service Order Structure for all products across Zayo and ability to communicate changes needed for specific projects.
Manage Service Order Datasets:
ensure locations and services data is audited and cross-referenced/standardized across contract exhibits, COR/ICB records, & SO/SOCs where necessary
support the creation of ancillary Salesforce records such as EBs, ISOs, tasks where requested
create standard project tracking in partnership with Service Delivery and other stakeholders as required within SiteTracker, Salesforce, Gsheets, or other software tools if appropriate
Assist with ‘transition to lifecycle’ and operations:
liaise with the Account and CSM teams to ensure smooth transitions during onboarding as well as handoff to post delivery
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
3-5 years of professional business operations and/or program/project management
Solid understanding of telecommunications technologies, network architecture, and standard service delivery models for telecommunication services
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to interface cross functionally, as well as with various levels of management internally and externally
Ability to visualize and convey concepts effectively
Results driven with an ability to make timely, creative and sound decisions under pressure
Detail oriented, a fast learner, with the ability to adapt in an evolving environment.
Ability to multi-task and manage competing requests in a professional manner
Pay Range is $92,000.00 - $122,700
