Software Project Manager

What we’re looking for:
Devetry is looking to add a Software Project Manager (Business Analyst) to join our growing team. The primary role for this position will be to work as the liaison between business partner stakeholders and the technology team to ensure business goals are being met.
As a key player navigating client and internal teams, you have a natural ability to translate difficult concepts into clear and easy solutions. You are an analytical thinker and executor that brings experience in building new processes, developing client proposals, and gathering business requirements to help define and achieve our client’s business goals. You have impeccable time management skills and a sharp eye for detail when it comes to all things related to project management: writing requirements specifications, developing and executing test plans, and working closely with the technical team to build and implement technology solutions. Your communication style allows you to work well with a variety of personality types and you thrive working in a fun, fast-paced environment, supporting multiple projects.
What you’ll do:
Serve as liaison between the functional project team and the technology support team.
Guide our team in establishing internal processes and protocols.
Quickly understand business issues and software challenges of the client’s organization and industry.
Translate the business needs to a system solution.
Analyze and document process and data flows.
Recommend new features or improvements to clients based on industry-related expertise, experience and best practices.
Facilitate decision-making by communicating across project teams and functional areas.
Prepare and maintain implementation plans, manage project issues and ensure project tasks are completed.
Author user stories and define acceptance criteria.
Create design specifications, user scenarios, and process flow diagrams.
Clearly articulate and document product specifications including detailed description of the product to guide developers or corresponding technical partners.
Consult with client partners to conduct requirements gathering from key stakeholders and design solutions that address business needs.
Provide information to project/development teams so that solutions meet customer's needs.
Provide expertise in software testing design and coordinates performance of tests.
Support functional users in developing reports.
Support end-user through on-call support and problem resolution (during business hours).
Conduct meetings and presentations with client teams.
Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of projects.
Nice to haves:
Experience at a professional services company as a Software (Technical) Project Manager/Business Analyst is strongly preferred
Background or experience working with product managers, product owners, and software engineers
Quality assurance and testing experience
Experience facilitating user acceptance testing
Scrum Master Certification (Scrum.org, Scrum Alliance)
PMP from The Project Management Institute (PMI)
Required Experience & Skills:
Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience working as a Software Project Manager, or equivalent combination of experience with comparable knowledge, skills and abilities.
Experience leading business processes and developing optimization strategies at a software company
Knowledge of client services and delivering to external clients
Experience in software development life cycle
Excellent documentation skills, including tailoring documentation to different audiences as appropriate
Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
Experience with Agile Framework
Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills
Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations
Competency in Microsoft and/or Google productivity applications
Proficiency in work tracking software such as Asana, Jira, Smartsheet, etc
Familiarity with IT terms and technical jargon
Ability to analyze complicated problems and apply critical thinking
Ability to create conceptual solutions that are technically feasible
Ability to self-start and strategically define project deliverables
Ability to self-manage and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
