Software Delivery Project Manager

The Software Delivery Project Manager, as part of Software Delivery Team, will plan and manage the iterative and incremental delivery of Information Technology solutions coupled with business objectives to meet FirstBank needs. This includes the creation and coordination of timelines, scope, resources, risk, and communication plans as they relate to multiple delivery efforts. In this role, the Software Delivery Project Manager will identify needed resources, coordinate responsibilities and tasks, and address resource constraints that will impact the delivery timelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Creation and coordination of timelines, scope, resources, risk, and communication plans as they relate to multiple delivery efforts
- Identify needed resources, coordinate responsibilities and tasks, and address resource constraints that will impact delivery timelines
- Utilize Agile, Kanban, and other project management methods and tools in order to maximize value and delivery performance
- Lead the Delivery Team in ongoing inspect and adapt discussions and implementation of improvements
- Identify and analyze risks, create mitigation plans, and manage risks and issues as they occur
- Work as a liaison between vendors, stakeholders, and teams to facilitate effective delivery
- Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely manner
- Maintain knowledge of industry standard Agile, Kanban, and project management practices
- Perform basic business analysis when necessary when a separate business analyst is not involved
- Assist other Project Managers with issue resolution and best practices
- Pursue formal and informal educational opportunities to expand knowledge and improve skills
Salary Commensurate with Experience
Minimum Qualifications of Position:
- A bachelor's degree in related field and a minimum of 2 years of Agile, Kanban, or IT or Software Delivery project management experience with a demonstrated ability to apply agile concepts
- A combination of post-high school education, job related certification, and related experience equivalent to 5 years may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements.
Preferred Qualifications of Position:
- Bachelor's degree is preferred, master's degree is a plus Experience working with cross-functional teams delivering custom software solutions
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Product Owner (CSPO), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)Project Management Professional (PMP), or other similar certification
- Experience with JIRA or similar tool
- At least 3 years of Agile or IT project management experience outside of FirstBank with demonstrated success driving projects from conception through implementation
- Vendor experience
- Experience working with a Back-end Team
Knowledge and Skills:
- Skilled at working with Agile/Scrum iterations or Kanban to continuously deliver value and meet milestones
- Experience in planning meetings that include the right people and agendas that makes appropriate use of the scheduled time
- Experience with identifying and managing risks and developing mitigation and contingency plans when appropriate
- Ability to develop working estimate based on inputs from all delivery team members
- Proficient in the use of appropriate scheduling techniques in order to determine and manage value delivery.
- Ability to identify stakeholders to establish and execute a communication plan for those stakeholders
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present status, issues, and risks to multiple levels of stakeholders
- Proficient in tracking Delivery Team performance
- Ability to work effectively with a team to overcome challenges and conflicts
- Proven use of appropriate time management techniques (such as time boxing, to-do managers, etc…)
- Understands standard budgetary concepts
- Basic familiarity with Business Analysis methods and concepts
- Ability to analyze delivery-related data in order to create metrics that will enable improved decision-making for the team and the organization
- Skilled at standard computer applications used in Agile and project management, such as Microsoft Office tools, Jira, and Confluence along with the ability to learn new applications with minimal training
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Work is performed in an office environment with moderate noise levels and light to heavy traffic. An individual in this position:
- Frequently remains stationary throughout a typical business day
- Frequently operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
- Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, and other rooms
- Occasionally positions self to access drawers and shelves of various heights
- Frequently reaches for and handles paperwork and files
- Constantly communicates with customers, coworkers, and management in-person and on the phone
- Must be able to exchange accurate information
