Sr. Technical Project Manager

As the Sr. Technical Project Manager you will be Pocket Outdoor Media has a client looking for a Sr. Technical Project Manager with a combination of software application and infrastructure (at an enterprise level) project management experience.

Coordinates work performed by IT and Engineering staff and internal customers/partners by defining project specifications, performing feasibility and needs/impact assessments. Develops detailed project plans and manages all implementation processes including resource allocation, progress tracking, monitoring change control process, testing, documentation, training and on-time delivery within budget constraints.

This position reports to the Chief Product Officer. 


Responsibilities:

  • Help manage and prioritize the workload of development teams, depending on company needs, and project due dates
  • Hold team status meetings to provide visibility to the project's progress, deadline, goals, objectives, and issues
  • Coach and guide team members to complete tasks and project deliverable
  • Maintain project documentation, issue management, change requests and change management
  • Seek ways to improve the process of delivering solutions to clients
  • Review, understand and become an expert on all new requirements for software selection and integration dependencies
  • Gather, analyze and document business requirements and processes
  • Construct technical documentation to support all programs
  • Identify options for potential solutions and assess them from both technical and business feasibility
  • Collaborate with team and clients for User Acceptance Testing
  • Take ownership and ensure that end to end cycle testing is completed for each initiative
  • Assist with writing technical documentation for our client-facing knowledgebase, which will include technical documentation, tutorials, and other implementation guides for our customers
  • Additional responsibilities as required


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, in an IT-related field
  • 8+ years of working experience in the field as an IT business analyst or technical project manager
  • Knowledge in business application systems, enterprise, distributed, multi-tier/web-services, web-based applications
  • Knowledgeable in quality assurance best practices in an Agile methodology environment
  • Expert in requirements documentation procedures
  • Expert knowledge of software development life-cycle and methodologies
  • Ability to demonstrate strong analytical skills
  • Deep customer focus and experience with researching and determining customer needs
  • Ability to conform to shifting and competing priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience with working closely with remote development teams
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Superior verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • High energy, "can-do" attitude with a willingness to do what it takes to get the job done
