And our employees rate SambaSafety top-notch, with a rock solid 4.7-star rating on Glassdoor.

What we’re looking for:

As a Sales Solutions Consultant at SambaSafety, you will work across multiple markets and commercial customers in targeted verticals. You will establish yourself as a trusted advisor, advocate for the customer, and engage in all stages of the sales process. This role will serve as a Subject Matter Expert in many industries, demonstrating how SambaSafety’s solutions are used to address common problems. Your expertise ensures all questions get answered and confidence in our solution resonates with the customers. You will support pre-sales conversations by being the technical expert, but more importantly, and how it solves critical business problems. You will communicate the values of the platform to a non-technical audience, through use cases and familiar work flows to help our customers feel comfortable and empowered with what they've learned.

What you’ll do:

  • Be the technical subject matter expert, thoroughly understanding our product’s benefits and features while being able to communicate and sell that to customers
  • Discover customer requirements and pain; including use cases, benefit statements, and 3rd party system integrations
  • Technically guide channel partners and assist them in effectively selling our solution, as needed
  • Work as a team with marketing, customer success, and engineering to bring the right resources to any opportunity
  • Demonstrate an understanding of what the customer will need in terms of on-going service and manage expectations on the customer and sales side.
  • Develop and deliver product demonstrations and sales presentations that explain key technical aspects of solutions that will benefit customers and prospects.
  • Work with the client to problem-solve through every hurdle during the sales process.
  • Provide feedback to the team as well as Product Management for process or product improvements as required.
  • Work in concert with team members to build the most effective presentations that blend technical facts with tangible benefits.
  • Guide and present effective value-based software demonstrations and sales presentations that address customer pain

What we’re looking for:

  • Knowledge of transportation industry regulation and compliance requirements (e.g. FMCSA and DOT) – a plus, but not required
  • Drive, energy, and ambition – the triumvirate personality traits that any successful sales professional should have.
  • A competitive nature.
  • Sense of urgency.
  • A sense of optimism, resilience, and perseverance.
  • Team player.
  • Solution-oriented.
  • Ability to work in a wide range of software programs that support our business (Excel, SalesForce, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Fantastic written communication skills.

What you’ll need:

  • Experience working with a sales team and an understanding of what's important and when
  • Organization, planning, and prioritization skills
  • 5+ years’ experience in business, sales engineer in technology / software / SaaS
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience with data visualization tools (eg. PowerBI)
  • Solid understanding of the complete sales cycle from prospecting to close in Enterprise and SMB segments
  • Understanding of the software development life cycles and methodologies
  • Great relationship building skills, tenacity, resilience, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and set priorities
  • Effectively simplify and communicate complex subject matter – both verbally and written
  • Ability to travel 10+%

An Insider's view of SambaSafety

What's something quirky about your company?

When you’re here you’re family. Olive Garden stole that from SambaSafety. Instead of endless bread sticks there’s endless career development, opportunity & the chance to be part of something much bigger than yourself. To wake up everyday & sell something you believe in is rare. To do it with people you consider friends & mentors is a blessing.

John Russell

Account Executive, Transportation

What does your typical day look like?

There is a great work/life balance at Samba. Our organization makes an impact to businesses and their employees so we’re usually available, however being in the office 24/7 is not what Samba is about. The high level of trust that we’re all here to work hard and be the best trumps clocking in and working typical 9-5 hours.

Abby Abreu

Senior Account Manager

What are some things you learned at the company?

I started a couple months ago, and was extremely impressed, not only with how fast they came up with a new program to onboard people from home but also with the quality of the training and how impactful it was to a new person to the organization. The people and culture are amazing and II am very happy with my decision to come work for this company

Kyle McGaw

Account Executive, Mid-Market

What unique initiatives do you have that encourage innovation?

Samba is full of collaborative, highly engaged, driven people continuously looking to outperform. We harness and direct this energy towards intelligent risk-taking leading to greater innovation. Our program encourages dialogue on the vast amount of ideas surfaced by our teams. Selected ideas are assigned to a team for completion.

Kevin Lawlor

VP of Human Resources

How do you empower your team to be more creative?

The environment we create is one of experimentation, where anyone can bring anything to the table as a solution to accomplish a task to enhance and grow our product. No idea is too mundane or question too simple to be discussed and used to grow our people as well as our product offering.

Software Architect
