What You Will Do:

Serving the Scrum Team:

  • Perform traditional Scrum Master duties that include organizing and facilitating daily scrum, reviews, retrospectives, sprint planning, and other events for 2 Scrum Teams
  • Build visibility around team velocity, throughput, and sprint/release progress
  • Assist the product owner with keeping the backlog refined
  • Assist team with making appropriate commitments through story selection and task definition
  • Support teams in identifying and removing their impediments
  • Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution
  • Ensure the team’s process evolves within organizational guidelines and standards of practice

Serving the Organization:

  • Work with other Scrum Masters, Engineering Leads, Product Managers, and Organizational Leaders to establish and evolve common organizational practices
  • Jira/Confluence Support - Enable teams and leadership to have simple, visible view into work
  • Train and coach staff on Scrum, Kanban, common practices and techniques
  • Identity and remove cross-org impediments and risks to find and support solutions
  • Lead continual and quarterly panning
  • Provide visibility into progress, risks and impediments
  • Lead cross-team efforts to support alignment, agility and delivery

What You Will Bring:

  • Scrum Master Certification (PSM, CSM, etc) 
  • 3-5 years of Scrum Master experience
  • Knowledge of agile excellence topics such as User Story Writing, Pair Programming, Continuous Integration
  • Leadership qualities that enable the ability to influence without authority
  • High level of flexibility within changing environments and priorities; excels in ambiguous environments
  • Exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills, with the ability to work with diverse and geographically dispersed teams
  • Ability to coach teams to reach their highest potential
  • Joint approach to driving decisions and ability to deal with multiple projects and deadlines
  • Experience coaching teams towards a focus on sprint goals, collective competition, and establishing a team that accepts healthy conflict
