Granicus is seeking a Scrum Master to help foster the business and engineering relationships, help teams reach their full potential, and coach Product Owners to effectively manage the backlog and develop a strong relationship with the development team. The Scrum Master will teach, promote, and support agile practices within the organization. The Scrum Master will also work with one or more individual development Scrum teams to ensure their workflow is optimized and that teams are empowered to effect changes that enable them to achieve excellence.
What You'll Do:
- Create an environment where teams feel empowered, motivated, self-organized and self-sufficient
- Help the teams build visibility around sprint progress, project progress, and team health
- Help the Scrum teams and the greater organization understand and put into practice Scrum theory, rules, and values
- Facilitate Scrum events (daily scrum, retrospectives, planning, sprint reviews)
- Help the teams to identify and remove impediments.
- Help foster communication, collaboration, and healthy conflict within the Scrum teams.
Who You Are:
- You bring 3+ years' experience working as a Scrum Master
- You have a passion for Agile development, coaching teams, and continuous improvement.
- You have obtained your PSM or CSM Certification (PSM II, SAFe, NEXUS certifications are a plus) or requisite experience.
- You demonstrate strong knowledge of different agile methods (TDD, TBD, pair programming, etc.)
- You are organized and able to juggle more than one project at once
- You can lead and advocate for change without authority
- You love to practice different facilitation techniques
