booj is looking for a client-focused, data-driven, Reporting Product Owner to join our growing product management team, dedicated to building experiences to support a variety of Booj’s client. As a team member working closely with an energetic agile team of Software and QA Engineers, you will serve as the interface between the RE/MAX and booj teams throughout the planning and software development process. You will collaborate with both teams to understand business goals and identify business problems that may be effectively resolved with technology solutions. You will deliver measurable business results through product solutions that meet both market needs and company goals.

Essential Duties:

  • Champion a client-centric, data-driven, approach to product management and development
  • Create, manage, and own the product backlog
  • Be the product expert for your product(s)
  • Work with Product Management to understand product strategy and vision and provide the agile development team with clear vision, direction, and understanding of the product backlog
  • Write requirements & user stories based on Target States from client
  • Adds technical requirements as needed to help developers understand scope
  • Awareness of other product requirements which could affect reporting requirements and account for discrepancies, integrations and dependencies
  • Meet with RE/MAX team and review user stories, making adjustments as necessary during meeting or post meeting and communicate changes in a timely manner
  • Review and prepare complete product code for demonstration to RE/MAX team, including outlining expectations, missing components, and other unique situations
  • Accurately and consistently track responses from the REMAX team on adjustments made or confluence documents waiting on approval / update
  • Define and adhere to QA process and ticket approval guidelines with internal and external team members
  • Able to complete competitive analysis of similar tools inside and outside Real Estate space
  • Work with other departments to gather and solidify project specifications (design, marketing, development team, QA, etc. as needed)
  • Work with outside vendors to integrate other services in Reporting system including sales calls and technical team meetings as needed

Required

  • Experience as a product owner managing 1 or multiple backlogs for 2+ years
  • BS/BA degree in business, technology or related field
  • Extensive experience operating in an Agile Scrum environment to deliver quality products rapidly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to discuss sensitive and business blocking communications with internal team members and clients
  • Self-motivated attitude and has ability to work without direct supervision as well as on a team
  • Exhibits high productivity, strong work ethic, and a commitment to meeting deadlines
  • Ability to influence decision makers and work successfully in cross-functional teams
  • Customer and data focused with a positive, professional attitude
  • Quickly grasps new situations and synthesizes large amounts of information
  • Strong documentation skills, attention to detail and has the ability to perform work with accuracy

Desired

  • Experience in real estate industry is a plus
  • Proficiency in Atlassian Suite, Aha or similar planning tools
  • Certificate as Product Owner in Agile Development Scrum
