Release Coordinator

Job Description

We are looking for a Release Coordinator with strong experience in the planning, facilitation and communication of release management activities. The ideal candidate will thrive in a work environment that requires strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, coupled with an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication. This individual excels at providing both highly analytical and creative ideas, and brings an attention to detail capable of identifying things easily missed by others. The candidate will also have experience in a fast-paced and innovative development environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Define and manage release processes for the progression of code through development, testing, and deployment

  • Provide diligent oversight while coordinating and managing releases across multiple product scrum teams

  • Work with scrums teams to manage both code branching and testing environments which best support release activities

  • Track and maintain release calendar(s) of multiple product scrum teams with planning of future releases to ensure alignment across internal stakeholders

  • Manage and communicate risks to prevent release delays and conflicts

  • Provide oversight and input into Go/No-Go decisions during release cycle

  • Manage and coordinate release communications for both internal and external users

  • Provide release metrics and reporting

 

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years experience in coordinating and managing release activities across multiple teams

  • Understanding of Agile software development lifecycle

  • Advanced leadership, communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong multitasking, critical thinking and analytical skills

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and execute tasks effectively with minimal supervision

  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence and Pivotal Tracker preferred

  • Experience with Microsoft SQL preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or an engineering discipline preferred.

This position will include a competitive salary and benefits, and may be eligible to earn stock options based on individual contribution and company performance. Compensation commensurate with experience.
