Overview

The Proposal Specialist is a dual role supporting the Sales and Customer Success organizations. For Sales, the Proposal Specialist will support or manage the full lifecycle of the RFP process, from kick-off to completion including creation, composition, preparation and submittal of responses in accordance with the FWI sales process. For Customer Success, the Proposal Specialist  will provide pre-sales support to targeted accounts. The split between these two roles will roughly be 60% RFP work and 40% professional services proposals. Work assignment will be based on volume.  We are looking for a team member with the right mix of writing skills flexibility and dedication. Responsibilities

  • Works with teams across the organization, including Sales Executives, Customer Success, Sales Engineers, Solutions Consultants, Security, IT and Legal to create engaging, competitive digital signage solutions under strict deadlines.
  • Leads cross-collaboration with FWI technical teams (Sales Engineers, Enterprise Architects, Security) to ensure FWI’s software, hardware, professional services and infrastructure design are accurately scoped and written in an easy to understand voice for the customer.
  • Leads scoping sessions with existing customers and create accurate Statements of Work based on customer requirements.
  • Manages multiple projects simultaneously and ensures delivery with confidence.
  • Builds and maintains a knowledge base of product, industry and market trends.
  • Ensures that new software release information reflected in RFP response submittals.
  • Ensures FWI’s style guide and technical branding standards are consistently promoted in internal and external client documents.

Qualifications

Requirements for Success:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Journalism Technical Communication, English or Equivalent Experience
  • One to two years of RFP, Statement of Work, Scoping or similar writing experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • A natural persuasive writing style that can clearly demonstrate superior technical products and services.
  • Comfortable with leading internal meetings throughout the response timeline.
  • Ability to multi-task various projects and balance priorities; work independently with little to no supervision in a highly time sensitive environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Helpful for Success:

  • Experience writing RFPs or Statements of Work for a software or technical product.
  • Experience using Salesforce, InDesign and/or the Loopio content management platform.
  • Understanding of software processes and configurations, including but not limited to computer networking concepts, Windows and OS X operating system use and configuration.
  • Proactive desire to learn coupled with intellectual curiosity and research capabilities.
