POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Proposal Management team is responsible for responding to large RFP’s that are provided to Zayo from our current and prospective customers. These responses include a pricing aspect, as well as a written history of Zayo and the products we can deliver. The manager of this team will oversee the day-to-day operations of the team and its members. This role will review new RFP’s and ensure each proposal manager is prioritizing RFP’s that Zayo can win. Additionally, the manager of the team will ensure Zayo is responding to RFP’s before the deadline. They will be asked to create reports and dashboards to measure effectiveness of each proposal manager, but will also need to provide visibility into the overall team success and win rate. Additionally, the manager of this team will need to frequently coordinate across the different engineering, product and sales teams to verify pricing is being provided accurately and on time. Not only is this role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day of the group, but they will also be called upon to put together RFP responses when necessary. Furthermore, this position is also going to be tasked to modify processes to allow for quicker response time and more robust RFP responses from Zayo, this is not limited to RFP’s but also includes requests for information, quotes & completing questionnaires.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Create reports and dashboards to track the performance of individual team members for quarterly bonus reviews
Provide insights into overall team metrics as they relate to win rates and new revenue generated from Proposal Management team
Review new RFP’s and be the decision maker for which requests the team will be responding to
Keep Proposal Managers focused on RFP’s that Zayo has the highest likelihood of winning and ensure deliverables are sent before the deadline
Verify pricing, language and legal terms and conditions in RFP’s are accurate and meet requesting customers parameters
Collaborate with sales, product and engineering teams to ensure solutions are designed to meet the needs of the customers
Identify areas for process improvement and propose/implement solutions for increased efficiency and output
Work RFP’s on behalf of the individual proposal managers when volumes are high or as deadlines are approaching
QUALIFICATIONS
2-5 years of experience in telecommunications industry
In depth understanding of Zayo value proposition and product offerings
Strong writing skills and attention to detail
Ability to create reports and dashboards in Salesforce
Organizational aptitude and ability to meet various deadlines
A general understanding for legal terms and conditions is preferred
Institutional knowledge of markets advantageous to Zayo
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
Passionate about collaboration and working in teams
Self-starter with willingness to tackle complex problems and propose solutions
Determined to improve process to increase efficiency and strengthen Zayo responses
Base salary range in CO: $80,100-$106,800
