About the Job

The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating program team members and processes from early product concept through revenue production.  Emphasize schedule performance, meeting commitments, early identification of pitfalls and emphasis on product quality. Report program status, risk areas and mitigation plans to program management.  The PM will also be working with product management to establish solid Go-To-Market (GTM) plans and strategies around new products.  Provide leadership and direction on all assigned projects or project tasks, ensure follow through from beginning to end; ensure overall progress of assigned project from inception to implementation.

About You

The Project Manager is expected to use a disciplined project management approach utilizing tools, processes, methodologies, documents and best practices to communicate internally and externally, monitor and control projects, and provide continuous improvement of our existing processes and procedures.  The Project Manager must be proactive and will be accountable for delivering projects on time and within budget while meeting contract requirements and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

What You’ll be Doing

  • Responsible for leading complex development programs; which includes GTM activities, managing tasks involving planning, design and development, as well as production.
  • Identify and track specific product deliverables and timelines.
  • Required to develop an in-depth understanding of business processes in all cross functional areas.
  • Reports the progress and support needs to program management.
  • Ensures that projects follow the standard procedures that are used in development and deployment.
  • Identifies project issues early on and proactively facilitates solutions and backup plans for them.
  • Participates in weekly core team meetings and timely communications between cross functional team members.
  • Identify and implement corporate process improvements.
  • Proactively identifies and encourages use of productivity improvement tools and time to market enhancements.
  • Help define Go-to-Market processes, follow them, and based upon lessons learned and use, seek to improve and optimize them

 More About You

  • 3-5 years of experience and consistent demonstrated on-time, high quality results delivering complex technology-oriented products.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience with leading cross functional teams.
  • Demonstrated experience with handling multiple simultaneous programs.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management, effective leadership of multi-discipline core teams.

 Bonus Points

  • Program Management Professional certification.
  • Self-starter, with ability to manage programs with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Flexible, quick to respond and adaptable to a wide range of situations.
  • Strong team player skills; team support orientation.
  • Working experience with embedded software, hardware and/or mechanical development highly beneficial.
  • Effective group communication; ability to present ideas clearly and confidently to all levels of management.
  • Ability to lead and work effectively within large, fast paced high technology teams.
