The Student Services Strategy team works at the intersection of critical initiatives that can unlock opportunity for millions of working adults. We work closely with senior leadership across the company shaping and guiding strategic, operational, and organizational improvements to improve the student experience. We bring a student-first problem solving approach, rigorous thinking, organized execution, and cross-functional connections to support the Student Services department and the business overall.

Guild is hiring a Project Manager, Student Services Strategy to drive strategic initiatives that improve the employee experience and/or student experience. As one of the early members in a small and growing team, we are looking for someone who can balance both establishing a new process and executing on it. In particular, we are looking for a self-starter who has demonstrated success managing multiple, cross-functional projects with ambiguity, operating in a fast-growing environment, and solving problems with limited oversight. 

As a Manager, you will:

  1. Own day-to-day management of project management processes and systems, including inbound requests, project management dashboard, etc.
    1. Maintain the master project dashboard with key project information, including status & next steps.
    2. Help evolve Guild’s project management process: Raise flags when projects fall behind or run in blockers, highlight patterns in project work and suggest improvements to process.
  2. Liaise with project leads across the company, diving deep enough to understand the details of each project specifically, to ensure alignment with broader business goals.
    1. Attend project meetings to ensure effective communication across all teams who need the information, and provide the flexibility to step in and manage the day-to-day operations of pilot projects should a project lead not be available.
    2. Facilitate conversations and cross-functional collaboration between internal teams including operational leaders, coaches, product managers, designers, etc. to identify problems / solutions
    3. Confidently influence and communicate with teams cross-functionally to communicate progress and results
  3. Support key change management efforts that improve employee engagement and student experience
    1. Support change management assessments, including identifying anticipated resistance
    2. Document change impacts and track / report on change management adoption and successes

You are a strong fit for this role if you have:

  • Strong work ethic and independence, with a high degree of motivation to learn and iterate.
  • 4+ years of experience in project management, with experiences in project management approaches and tools (e.g. Asana, Confluence, Airtable, Jira, Smartsheet, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a keen attention to detail, multitask and work well under pressure, in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience working in extremely cross-collaborative environments.
  • Capacity to develop strong relationships and communicate within various levels of the organization effectively

Total compensation for this role is market driven, including a base salary range of $95,000 - $121,250, as well as company stock options.
