Position Summary:

The Project Manager, Operations will provide project management leadership and expertise to enable the organization to meet business objectives with a focus on new product development and continuous improvement support. This individual will centrally lead one or more projects and apply project management skills and techniques to meet project requirements and achieve desired outcomes. The selected candidate will lead projects throughout the entire lifecycle of initiation, planning, execution, monitoring & control, and closing under the leadership directive of the Program Manager. The Project Manager will work cross functionally across manufacturing, quality and supply chain to develop integrated project plans, identify partner requirements, and balance contending project constraints of scope, quality, schedule, budget, resources, and risk.

Responsibilities:

Job performance will involve a variety of activities including:

  • Act as centralized operations contact for IVD and RUO new product development to drive successful project execution and appropriate tech transfer
  • Drive operational continuous improvement projects including prioritization, tracking, supervising and facilitating cross functional collaboration
  • Support business level project execution with a focus on operational activities such as line capacity analysis, labor and raw material planning, equipment validation knowledge and scheduling, etc.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and risks associated with timelines/results are clearly communicated to management
  • Generate project charter and develop integrated project schedules
  • Document key project decisions and facilitate information management processes
  • Prioritize team and physical resource allocations
  • Lead project team meetings, develop agendas, and follow-up on action items
  • Address the needs, concerns, and expectations of all partners through active and collaborative communication
  • Generate or integrate project specific metrics/reports and analyzing options and opportunities to optimize the project team’s efficiency
  • Establish, maintain and use information repositories and collaboration sites
  • Identify and mitigate project risks through creative problem solving and exploration of parallel paths
  • Proficiency with standard project management software and enterprise resourcing planning
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time

Experience:

  • 1+ years of experience with operations, manufacturing, supply chain or quality focus
  • 2+ years in a Project Management role
  • Ability to lead by influence, taking multiple projects through a sophisticated development/execution program are required
  • Proven experience working in cross-functional product teams
  • Demonstrates strong leadership capabilities with the ability to lead a cross-functional team

Education & Knowledge:

  • Associates or Bachelor degree(s) in life sciences, engineering, or other applicable area
  • Strong knowledge of operational activities such as warehousing/receiving, work cell creation/development, equipment/process validation, production ramp up, etc
  • Understanding of the product development process, project management and diagnostic operations is preferred


In Colorado, our competitive compensation package includes a base salary starting from:

  • For Level 2 (Minimum of 2 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree) - $88,480 per year
  • For Level 3 (Minimum of 5 years experience and a Bachelor's degree) - $113,000 per year 

In determining the final salary offered, we will evaluate a specific candidate's geographic location, education, skills, and experience.
