Position Description
The Project Manager role supporting Billing & IT will focus on finance development projects and is responsible for researching, designing, and refining the policies, processes, and systems that ensures an effortless development experience and set or adhere to standards for best practices. An effective Project Manager should be an expert in navigating Salesforce.com and Excel. An ability to understand complex system dependencies and make decisions based on international regulatory policies. The position requires strong attention to detail. Communication skills are critical since the Project Manager will operate as main point of contact with stakeholders and requesters to identify requirements, dependencies, and timelines between technical and business teams. An individual with a hunger to solve problems and improve operational performance will excel in this role.
Responsibilities
- Own business analysis and implementation of virtual systems mergers based on technical and business requirements
- Build standard operating procedures for data analysis and governance in Salesforce
- Assist in making business decisions relating to system implementation, assessment, adoption and maintenance of business reporting and accounting
- Oversee incumbent projects ensuring every project adheres to the below requirements:
- Project priority is clearly understood and reflected at all times
- Business and technical requirements are clearly and completely identified and reviewed with stakeholders prior to request for IT development team to engage.
- Process flowcharts are included with requests for new process or changes to existing (where applicable)
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Define development processes in line with effortless / Agile / lean methodologies
- Track and communicate status of business initiatives to management
- Apply advanced analytical methods to proactively identify improvements
- Ensure a coherent knowledge database of training and process documentation is properly built and maintained
- Establish new processes in line with business requirements and roadmap
- Creation and maintenance of reports/dashboard/data/metrics used to measure and ensure success
- Understand team ecosystem, projects, and workload to define appropriate prioritization of tasks
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics or other degree requiring analytical aptitude or equivalent relevant work experience
- 3-5 years of product, project management, software development, and/or technology analyst experience preferred
- Experience working in GitLab
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite of tools with emphasis on Excel
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce.com platform is a plus
- Aptitude to understand policy and billing regulation as it applies to invoices
- Strong attention to detail, superb organizational skills, and ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Ability to work across functional boundaries
- Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of functional teams, and strong interpersonal skills for supporting and advising sales teams on proper systems and process
- Capacity to work on multiple projects and meet various deadlines
- Comfortable with understanding and applying material conditional logic
- Aptitude for learning new/different processes within the company to better understand other data architectures and workflows
- Ability to view issues and concerns from multiple perspectives, and to keep the “big picture” in focus
- Ability to be flexible in work schedule and to meet strict deadlines under minimal supervision
