ABOUT THE TEAM:

FIS is looking for a Program Manager to join our NextGen Banking Implementations team. This role can sit anywhere in the US, preferably on the east coast to accommodate our clients.  Our team supports the large financial institution market, in the adoption and deployment of next generation Core Banking and Channel Experiences through the implementation of FIS's Digital One.
 

In the future, may involve up to 50% travel to client sites, nationwide
 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING? 

  • Planning and coordinating all aspects of large, complex Digital One technical projects, from initiation through delivery.
  • Managing project initiation activities including identifying needs and goals, existing situation, necessary contacts and access to existing information as needed.
  • Ensuring requirements for internal technology projects align to operational standards. Developing alternate requirements or documenting exceptions as appropriate.
  • Developing, defining and executing project plans, project scope, activities, schedules, budgets and deliverables.
  • Interacting with product development, technology solutions, service delivery and/or other cross-functional teams.
     

WHAT YOU BRING:

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years experience leading programs, supporting very large, complex projects, specifically within a core banking environment.

  • Extensive knowledge of project management standards, processes, procedures and guidelines
  • Knowledge of the industry project management best practices, i.e., Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
  • Knowledge of various types of IT project methodologies and life cycles
  • Knowledge of standards relevant to the software industry , e.g., ISO, CMM, Six Sigma
  • Advanced skill in the use of project management software to manage projects, e.g., MS Project and auxiliary tools, such as earned value database, audit tools, project repository, including risk, issues and action items database, SLIM Estimate, Metrics and Control, PlanView, Platinum Process Continuum
  • You are very organized and detail-oriented; able to work with shifting priorities
  • You love analyzing issues and devising efficiencies
