About the Team:
VIZIO is looking for a proactive and forward-thinking program manager to enhance existing operations and internal projects. In this hands-on role, you will help manage implementation efforts of our server-side and embedded client projects, as well as monitoring progress and providing guidance and direction for project teams to ensure milestones and deadlines are met.
About You:
• Knowledge of and existing work experience with structured software development life cycles.
• 3-5 years relevant project manager experience.
• Ability to prioritize/reprioritize based on business needs; ability to manage emergency events and customer issues.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Effective communication skills in working with a variety of technical and business personnel.
• Demonstrated attention to detail.
• Work experience with project management tools.
• Prior structured software development experience is preferred.
• Prior experience with embedded/firmware software development a plus.
What You Will Do:
• Direct and manage full life cycle project development activities of moderate to high complexity.
• Define project scope, goals and deliverables to support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documentation. Estimate resources needed to achieve project goals. Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
• Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths. Define project success criteria and communicate to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
• Anticipate and proactively manage changes in project scope. Identify potential crises and devise contingency plans.
• Identify and resolve design/delivery issues and conflicts within project team.
• Track and report on project milestones and deliverables. Provide ongoing liaison with project stakeholders.
• Manage project expectations and communicate expectations with team members and other stakeholders. Distribute tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct project postmortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
• Develop and recommend best practices/tools for project execution and management.
For Colorado-based employment: The minimum salary for this position is $95,000/year. compensation package includes quarterly bonus in addition to a range of medical, dental, vision, financial and other benefits.
