About the Team VIZIO is looking for a proactive and forward-thinking technical project/program manager who is an Inventive self-starter that embraces the idea of solving problems. As a technical program / project manager, you will manage development efforts in Vizio's Software and Services engineering organization by leading engineering teams to ensure project milestones are met and corporate strategies are achieved. What You Will Do

  • Direct and manage full life cycle project development activities of moderate to high complexity
  • Define project scope, goals, objectives, and deliverables to support business initiatives in alliance with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Partner with engineering leadership and product management teams to deliver strategic direction to ensure organizational focus and clarity.
  • Manage and work collaboratively with cross-functional, geographically distributed peers, engineering teams, leaders, and stakeholders.
  • Bridge the gap between business requirements and engineering tasks; understand the interactions between engineering teams.
  • Estimate resources needed to achieve project goals.
  • Anticipate and proactively manage changes in project scope, identify project risks and mitigation path.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths.
  • Plan and schedule project stories, timelines, and milestones using appropriate tools and methodologies/frameworks.
  • Plan sprint activities (stories, points, capacity, goals, objectives).
  • Conduct project / scrum ceremonies and program postmortems and create a recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Provide clear and concise effective communication to leadership, stakeholders, and team members of program/project success, expectations, issues and risks, risk mitigation, and milestones and timelines
  • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly program statuses on project/program milestones, accomplishments, risks and metrics to executive leadership.
  • Develop and recommend best practices/tools for project execution and management.

About You

  • You have a computer science degree or equivalent
  • You have 5+ years relevant scrum master, project/program manager experience in an enterprise organization
  • You have a background in technical program/project management with experience working with diverse engineering teams.
  • You have knowledge and experience with structured software development.
  • You have managed a portfolio of complex programs with success.
  • You are able to interpret business requirements into technical stories for engineering teams.
  • You are able to execute in a fast-paced and highly fluid environment.
  • You possess leadership skills in a dynamic business environment.
  • You can effectively manage collaborative, cross-functional, co-located business and engineering teams to success.
  • You can effectively pivot directions based on changing priorities.
  • You can effectively communicate with business and technical professionals.
  • You are highly analytical and visual, with a mastery in Jira, Confluence, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • You have excellent verbal and written English skills.
  • You can "think outside the box" and empower your teams to follow.
  • You possess excellent attention to detail.
  • Scrum Master or other project certifications highly desirable
