We are now looking for a Program Manager - GTM to join #TeamGreen. This role can sit remotely anywhere in the US.


In this role, you will be responsible for defining and running key processes to ensure efficient go-to-market campaigns across our company. We’re looking for someone who is excited to roll up their sleeves and get involved with our fast-growing team at the ground level of a new function.


As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for working with product marketers, product managers, and marketing managers across the organization to define the strategy, requirements, and timelines for launching new products and campaigns. You will lead cross-functional teams to define technical and non-technical solutions that ensure our products and campaigns launch with resonance across all target audiences.


The ideal person for this role is equal parts strategy and execution, with an aptitude for leading through influence across the business, operations, and technology functions. They have a strong track record of delivering complex projects and have impressed stakeholders at all levels with the ability to communicate both written and verbally. They have demonstrated problem-solving capabilities across both technical and non-technical teams.


What you will be doing;

Provide project management support for GTM campaign launches

  • Work collaboratively to define project requirements that achieve measurable outcomes for each launch
  • Establish and communicate clear OKR-based goals for launches, reinforcing review/learning cycles to improve future launches
  • Work with stakeholders to negotiate timelines and provide accountability to cross-functional teams
  • Develop strategies for updating and communicating program-level progress & status across the company
  • Proactively mitigate project risk by identifying problem areas and developing contingency plans
  • Streamline the cross-functional implementation of projects and programs, by identifying and helping to remove barriers and constraints - whether through automation, best practices, change management, etc.
  • Create and maintain a central marketing & GTM calendar with key dates and releases (campaign launches, product launches, etc.)

Champion best practices of program and project management

  • Develop a holistic, resource-balanced approach to program management in the Matillion marketing team and beyond
  • Research and define clear processes for repeatable marketing activities to streamline workflows and maximize efficiency
  • Promote Lean thinking and principles: create value, eliminate waste, respect for people
  • Nurture Matillion’s cultural values to support a continuous improvement mindset amongst all project collaborators
  • Encourage best practices to deliver trust-based, outcome-focused work - catering to remote/office/hybrid based working needs

Develop Matillion’s project management technology strategy

  • Work with the office of the chief of staff, to build and maintain a best-in-class project management software stack for the Matillion Marketing and PMM teams
  • Define integration strategies with other project management technologies in use across the organization, and work with technical teams to develop automation between them
  • Support the learning of new software and best practices by providing training and 1:1 tutorials to team members

Establish Matillion’s GTM program management function

  • Work collaboratively with operations and management teams across the company to define a center of excellence for program management
  • Work with Matillion leadership to define and enforce program governance practices
  • Found and chair Matillion’s first project review board Train, coach and advise leaders and front line teams to ensure that sound project management and change management techniques are adopted

What we are looking for - Essential Skills

  • 3-5 years of experience in program management/business operations for global, high-growth technology companies
  • PMP Certification
  • Experience in B2B marketing and multi-channel marketing operations
  • Excellent time management skills and proven ability to work independently
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic work environment while being able to successfully manage multiple competing priorities
  • Deep understanding of Lean principles and associated methodologies in support of this, such as Kanban, Scrumban, visual work management, agile, SAFE, etc.
  • Ability to intuitively understand operational challenges and provide timely recommendations in order to drive business decisions
  • Experience with data curation to evaluate outcomes
  • Ability to leverage data from multiple sources to make informed decisions, assess multiple viewpoints, and recommend a path forward
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience

Desirable

  • Experience working in a data technology-related field (data integration, data science, data warehousing, etc.) 
  • 1+ years of product (software or hardware) development or launch experience
  • Experience working closely with Product Marketing and Product Management teams
  • Experience with project/program management standards, methodologies, and concepts, such as: PRINCE2 Agile, Constraint Theory, SPM & PMBOK (by the PMI), etc.
  • Consultancy experience (external or internal)

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Strong team player who can motivate diverse and distributed teams to form an effective execution synergy
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to deftly balance inter-personal and resource considerations
