We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced Procurement Manager. This role will be a key element in building, scaling and driving adoption of the Procure to Pay (P2P) process and best practices at a hyper growth company. This role will be responsible for executing the end-to-end sourcing and procurement processes of the procurement cycle across global indirect spending. 

As a member of a larger team, you will drive a number of procurement-related activities such as designing sound, simple and scalable procurement policies, procedures and systems; guiding vendors through our shifting needs and supplying internal clients with sound purchasing advice.

The ideal candidate is operationally focused, has the ability to move from granular to strategic thinking, can work cross functionally to understand business needs, will develop/improve processes that scale, educate stakeholders on processes and enable efficiency, simplicity and effectiveness. This candidate will need to be a builder who takes pride in continuous improvement. This cross functional role will be the liaison between Business Partner Functions, Accounts Payable, Finance, Accounting on all things P2P. This role will report to the Accounts Payable Lead.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the global sourcing and procurement strategy and execution across all functions and business groups
  • Own all documentation related to Sourcing, Purchasing, Vendor Management and Enablement
  • Develop the systems and policies that enable functional success; P2P, Contract Management Database, RFP, Vendor Viability Screening etc. including system design, user acceptance testing, deployment, metric reporting and continuous monitor for improvement
  • Develop and deliver internal trainings and process documentation to drive adoption of policy and processes 
  • Develop and report on P2P KPIs
  • Partner closely with our legal team, negotiate with external suppliers to secure advantageous terms and pricing
  • Partner closely with our general ledger accounting team to drive optimal and scalable processes
  • Evaluate current supplier base to identify areas for improved cost reduction and supplier management
  • Demonstrate knowledge with respect to procurement concepts, policies and procedures, identifying requirements and communicating those requirements such that internal customers and bidders clearly understand all aspects of the project.
  • Participate in supplier performance reviews as part of ongoing improvement efforts/Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR’s’) as to time, quality, scope, budget, capacity, and responsiveness.
  • Ensure frequent communication between all key project and sub-department parties including customers, suppliers, associates and other appropriate stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience with Procure to Pay systems and process, preferably with experience in building and driving adoption. 
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement and/or Supply Chain type roles, preferably at a high growth company
  • BA/BS in Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting or similar type degree is required. Professional accreditations or advanced degrees are a plus
  • Experience with NetSuite is a plus. Experience with ERPs such as Oracle and SAP and Procurement solutions such as Coupa and Ariba is a plus.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and social skills while also having an analytical/process driven mind and ability to negotiate. 
  • Knowledge of best in class sourcing and procurement techniques, as well as aptitude for reading the market
  • Ability to work independently, with strong organizational and flexibility skills
  • Experience managing teams, including direct reports
  • Energetic, self-starter and enjoys having fun in a fast-paced environment
