Position Description
The Partner Program Manager is responsible for the expansion of business in selling with large cloud service provider and technology partners whose platforms and software are further enhanced by leveraging Zayo’s network assets. This role will support the Strategic Alliances team working closely with Product, Corporate Marketing, Sales and various partners. We are looking for ambitious, independent Alliance Management professionals looking to “disrupt” the telecommunications industry by leveraging Zayo’s partner ecosystem to deliver value-added, joint solutions to customers. The Partner Program Manager will manage and sell with the partner and be responsible for planning, developing, and managing a Cloud-focused alliance program driving sales efforts and programs with the cloud partner and Zayo across all of the Zayo sales segments. The Manager is tasked with driving increased bookings and revenue associated with global strategic partnerships. They will demonstrate the ability to jump from developing key stakeholder relationships to a high-level strategic discussion to tactical partner marketing execution and supporting various strategic alliance initiatives.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibility is to manage alliance partnerships between Zayo and cloud service providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, Google Cloud, etc. Zayo provides
Develop and build new business relationships with strategic partners to understand opportunities for creating value and new business opportunities.
Provide leadership and direction to the account teams to identify business opportunities and generate profitable sales that meet and exceed new business revenue goals.
Direct partner opportunities to increase revenue and leverage relationships in order to better penetrate the market
Create, develop and maintain sell with strategies, plans and actions with our key vendor partners globally.
Leverage Zayo’s global network reach to influence decisions on projects for customer deliveries in both domestic and international locations.
Collaborate to build strong executive relationships with the chief executives of our major global technology alliance partners
Subject Matter Expert for sales strategy and direction on managed hosting, public and private cloud offerings across Zayo.
Orchestrate cross-functional organizational resources through effective communication and direction
Work closely with Marketing both internally within Zayo and the Cloud alliance partners to increase awareness of Zayo’s sweet spot as it relates to the alliance and
Educate both the internal Zayo sales team and cloud partner sales teams on the value proposition of the alliance and how it can be used to meet customer digital transformation outcomes.
Qualifications
BS/BA in business administration, marketing, telecommunications or relevant field.
3-5 years of business development, channel and/or partner management experience
Experience developing and executing joint GTM strategies
Strong writing and communications skills
Familiarity with SalesForce.com preferred
Cloud industry experience preferred
