Velocity Global is seeking a full-time IT Project Manager to join our growing team in Denver, CO. You will be responsible for the planning, budgeting, and management of all development projects in the Information Technology department. You will ensure the scope of projects is sound and then track the progress to completion; reporting to management on the status of project execution.

This is a fast-paced role, requiring flexibility working with a number of different business units while being exposed to a variety of development platforms. This role is not for the faint of heart as you will be asked to manage several concurrent projects, learn new technologies, and to make your mark across the entire organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan project resources, including a combination of internal and outsourced development teams.
• Assist with defining a project’s scope, time, and financial commitment.
• Assign tasks and deadlines to individual contributors, ensure deadlines are met, and report to management the status of individual projects.
• Identify and manage issues and risk to projects as they develop.
• Collaborate with all business units (Operations, Finance, Sales, etc) throughout the development lifecycle to communicate the status of project progression.
• Understand complex business goals to ensure requirements are being met.
• May make employment decisions and/or recommendations on hiring future staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, with an emphasis in business administration, information systems, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience managing IT or development projects
• 3+ years of experience with project management tools
• 3+ years of experience in an Agile Scrum environment a plus
• An understanding of project management principles, processes, and techniques
• Prior experience with ERP or CRM implementations a plus
• Comfortable adapting to changing technical environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with non-technical personnel
• Ability to work effectively in a team situation with outsourced development teams
• Ability to manage multiple priorities related to multiple projects at once and work collaboratively across organizational lines
