As an integral part of SALT’s engineering team, the IT Project Manager will work on a small, versatile and passionate team. You will tackle new problems as we continue to push our industry forward. Your contributions will allow you to lead IT team members through Operations and Security ventures that enable us to achieve our goals.

RequirementsWhat you will do:Project Management

• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
• Align project prioritization with both short and long-term Company goals
• Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
• Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
• Ensure resource availability and allocation within department and across departments, managing contingencies
• Manage external vendor relationships
• Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress
• Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
• Report and escalate to management as needed
• Measure project performance across the project portfolio
• Identify variance, blockers, corrective actions, and communicate change to all stakeholders
• Standardize project communications and deliverables including weekly status updates

What you need to be successful:

• Experience being lead Project Manager for at least one year for an IT-related department
• BS Degree, preferably in the fields of Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent work experience
• Proven working experience in project management in the Information Technology sector
• Experience with multiple levels of the IT stack - Network, Systems, Database, Application, SaaS, Security
• Experience using Jira and Confluence
• Strong working knowledge of Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office; experience with Smartsheets and other project management tools
• Solid technical background with understanding of / hands-on experience with software development and web technologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience managing external vendor relationships
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking ability
• Working knowledge of Agile principles and ability to interface with Agile teams
• PMP or other project management certifications are a plus
