We’re currently seeking an ERP Manager who will help Sovos Brands maximize the value and efficiency of enterprise business systems by working closely with business users to understand and solve their needs and by leading the Sovos ERP team. This is done by researching, configuring, testing, and documenting potential solutions within the ERP system itself and with systems that integrate with the ERP system.

About the position:

Develops deep understanding of ERP functional capabilities and features as well as knowledge of how to configure and adapt the system to increase user and company efficiency and accuracy.Manages other key Sovos IT resources on the ERP and business systems team to provide excellent solutions and support.

What you’ll do?

  • Collaborates regularly with business users and leaders to understand their current and desired processes in order to identify gaps in current ERP functionality. Designs solutions that leverage built-in ERP capabilities without code modification as much as possible.
  • Seeks to continually improve the ERP functionality and utility to increase automation, efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of information.
  • Manages tasks and projects that increase ERP and other business system capabilities with the goal of increasing efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of transactional information.
  • Develops expertise on the functional use of the ERP system. Continuously works to understand ERP capabilities, functionality, features, and modules to help provide consultative solutions to make users and the company more efficient and cost-effective.
  • Works with the VP of IT and other key leaders to establish priorities and timelines for key improvements and projects. Collaborates with the VP of IT on tactical and strategic ERP planning.
  • Manages changes and testing to the system with planning, communication, and with minimal impact to system availability and uptime.
  • Directs the work of other ERP support resources under their supervision to ensure work is prioritized and delivered to meet expectations. Leads a highly responsive service-oriented team.
  • Researches and assists in the evaluation of third-party solutions that enhance ERP functionality.
  • Oversees the design and maintenance of key security solutions, especially in the areas of Finance and Accounting, to ensure that only authorized users can access key portions of the system.
  • Creates or oversees the creation of documentation including internal IT solutions, user training materials, and business processes.
  • Manages key third-party relationships with vendors providing supplemental support, consulting, and development work.
  • Develops and tracks Key Performance Indicators and other metrics that provide understanding of ERP/IT performance to service levels.

What Qualifications/skills do you bring?

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in Information Technology, Business, Finance or Accounting, or Economics
  • 5+ years of direct experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV in a functional role (business analyst, consultant, functional team leader, etc.). Experience implementing and upgrading NAV.
  • Very good understanding of key business concepts, processes, and terminology including Manufacturing, Inventory Management, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Financial Reporting.
  • Experience leading and supervising a team.
  • Experience with manufacturing in the Consumer Product Goods (CPG) industry is a plus.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks and to self-manage deliverables, meetings, and information gathering.
  • Highly collaborative - seeks partnerships to achieve solutions that satisfy system customers.
  • Detail oriented – dives deep into research of possible solutions and enhancements. Tests theories and possibilities to find the best solution for system problems or opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills – able to present options and solutions in a way that can easily be understood by business users. Develops training and how-to documents for end-users and other IT staff.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Basic understanding of relational database concepts. Ability to write basic SQL queries for testing and ad hoc reporting.
