DEI Program Manager
Works closely and collaborates with all internal partners to create and lead strategic initiatives that support Ball Aerospace’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. The DEI Program Manager will foster relationships to develop and implement strategies that support an increase in the sourcing and hiring of traditionally marginalized demographics with key customers (Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Corporate Communications, Total Rewards, etc.) to deliver against current and future business needs.
What You’ll Do:
- Support the Sr. Director of DEI in the development of long and short-term DEI strategies, policies, initiatives and programs that reflect company business and talent priorities and contribute to the development of an inclusive work environment.
- In partnership with Corporate Communications, develop internal and external communications relating to DEI, including development of quarterly DEI newsletters, as well as support of DEI vlog and podcasts.
- Work with Ball Aerospace Talent Acquisition team to align the recruitment strategy with our diversity and inclusion goals by building partnerships with external organizations and leveraging the various Ball Networks & Interest Groups.
- Partner with Ball Aerospace Talent Management team to create mentoring relationships for diverse employees, ensuring equal access to critical development and training opportunities and integrating diversity into succession planning.
- In alignment with Ball Aerospace employee value proposition, define message to demonstrate commitment to diversity and inclusion while also addressing the needs of diverse employees; research the diverse population's needs and desires and partners with Centers of Excellence to target advertising/marketing to reach diverse groups.
- Develop internal grievance process to be used by the regional managers and understands how all regulations associated with diversity affect the organization.
- Translate diversity strategies into well-defined projects with focused deliverables, timelines, and ROI.
- Play a key role in defining principal organizational DE&I metrics - including workforce diversity statistics, employee/organizational opinion/culture surveys and program effectiveness to guide strategy and measure outcomes.
- Manage the preparation of the Company's responses to external DEI surveys and questionnaires.
- Responsible for the management of others.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
What You’ll Need:
- BS/BA in a related field plus 4 or more years related experience.
- Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- 3 or more years’ experience working with Diversity and Inclusion issues is preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills, awareness of and commitment to contemporary issues of inclusion, social justice, diversity, access, and equity.
- Experience working within a HRBP role and/or training and curriculum development preferred.
- Strong leadership capabilities and the ability to craft and implement enterprise-wide strategies to address chronic and unexpected challenges.
- Must possess excellent oral and written skills to communicate with all levels of individuals both internally and externally.
- Experience and/or knowledge of emerging inclusion and workplace civility fields such as inclusive leadership, unconscious bias, and gender diversity.
- Ability to perform complex statistical analyses, interpret data, and make recommendations.
- Experience in shaping policies and procedures for DEI in a large organization preferred.
- Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, team environment with tight deadlines.
- Any DEI-focused Certifications ideal.

Compensation & Benefits:
- HIRING SALARY RANGE: $73,500 - $99,500 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
