The Job:
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity that traverses the full value of Data from Data Engineering to Database Administration & Analytics? Feeling stuck or pigeon holed into just one of those areas - then this opportunity is for you.
The Program Manager will lead a broad cross functional organization of Data Engineers, DBA, Salesforce Engineer & Data Analysts. He/She will be responsible for the roadmap, stakeholder communication, requirements gathering across these different disciplines. You will be working with business stakeholders from all disciplines including Marketing, Finance, Advisory, Product, Voice of Customer & Biz Dev to tackle everyday problems in an innovative way.
The ideal candidate must have experience managing and delivering on all delivery aspects of the Data Stack including Development, Operations and Analytics. He/She should also be willing to roll up the sleeves as needed to help craft the requirements and be comfortable with saying 'No' to the stakeholders while maintaining a good working relationship with them. You are also expected to call out risks for the roadmap and coordinate solutions to help with a smooth rollout. Ultimately, this person will be on point for the requirements, roadmap and delivery.
The Candidate:
Our team is searching for a dynamic candidate with excellent communication, ability to understand and translate needs into technical requirements as well coordinate all the project activity against the roadmap. Applicants should have experience project managing data platforms, BI & data analytics functions. Strong critical thinking skills, the ability to synthesize solutions to complex problems, and a talent for transforming data to create solutions and condense complex concepts is necessary to be successful in this role. Candidates must have the ability to develop project plans, facilitate prioritization timelines, allocate team resources along with the Engineering & Analytics managers, and take ownership of roadmap delivery in a fast-paced environment.
Description

  • Handle multiple complex projects to change management to major milestones. Ensure that the execution of the projects outpaces deadlines
  • Effectively and consistently communicate project goals and provide relevant project updates to all stakeholders including Finance, Marketing, Product, Advisory, Voice of Customer, BizDev and Empower Integration Teams.
  • Plan dependencies and outcome of multiple projects, reporting on progress while looking ahead to identify upcoming issues and work around them before impacting the project.
  • Acquire a deep understanding of our data pipeline, from ingestion, integration to consumption, as well as our data management tools.
  • Conduct assessments on our catalog to identify coverage and quality challenges; develop data-driven solutions to address these challenges at a large scale.
  • Identify, evaluate, and procure potential internal and external solutions to improve our data products.
  • Work closely with Engineering teams to implement new tooling and enhancements. Recognize and act on opportunities for automation.
  • Gather and define feature requirements, propose solutions, obtain buy-ins, negotiate timelines, and track implementation progress.


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree but Master's Degree preferred
  • Scrum Certification


Key Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of experience working on data projects and project/program management
  • Relevant experience with Data platform, BI & Analytics systems
  • Ability to work with stakeholders and help translate the needs into clear requirements including building out a roadmap along with the Engineering & Analytics leaders
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Results-driven with extraordinary attention to detail, remarkable follow-through, and an ability to focus on customer experience
  • Project management experience including working cross-functionally and partnering with internal and external stakeholders
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, adaptable to rapidly changing requirements, decisive, and willing to own the hard calls
  • Ability to facilitate productive discussions, build consensus within the team and with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ability to effectively interact and influence across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work with Analysts and stakeholders to facilitate drawing meaningful insights and translate them into high-level strategy and actionable tasks
  • Strong technical skills, knowledge of Tableau and Splunk will be a plus.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, resourcefulness, and ingenuity in solving problems.

The salary range below describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

$ 105,000.00-178,400.00
